Preface

Mina Raven Winters

My name is Mina Raven Winters. Im nineteen years old, I have long dirty blond hair, blue eyes, and I so happen to be a princess. I have tons of responsibilities that I have to do and uphold. Funny thing is I met someone who just so happens to look exactly like me, but lets not get too carried away right now. This is Cote, Aaron, Harry, and My story. This is the story of how I switched places with Cote and fell in love.

I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair, which just so happens to be a nervous habit that I have. I was at dinner with my family and their friends. They had a son named Aaron and he was my best friend.

Hmm... how should I describe Aaron? He twenty one years old, is over six feet tall, gray-blue eyes, muscular, and short light brown hair. I have to admit hes very attractive, but I dont like him in any other way than a best friend. I forgot to mention hes royality, as am I.

We were eating, well, everyone else was eating, but me I merely just moved the food around on my plate. I sighed again clearly not wanting to be at dinner with this snobby rich family. I mean dont get me wrong I love Aaron, but because he is royality and gets whatever he wants hes very arrogant and snobby, but hey I guess you cant be choosy. With me not so much. I dont like being arrogant or snobby so I found a go between and its just to be as nice as I can be and do what Im told even if I dont like it.

"Mother?" I call her name and she looks over at me.

"Yes, dear, what is it?" She asks me.

"Well, you didnt really tell me why the Boston's were here." I said asking why Aaron's family was there in the first place.

I swear my mother had a smile on her face, but when I asked that question her smile dropped into a hard line like she had just swallowed some sour grapes. Did I just so happen to ask the wrong question? My mother looked over at my father. "Should we tell her?" My mother asked him.

I looked over at Aaron who wasnt looking at me and looking down at his plate, I looked around the table at his family members and they too wouldnt look at me. Was I the only one out of the loop?

"Mother, Father what is going on?" I ask nervously my voice shaking a little.

"Mina we invited the Bostons here because Aaron was supposed to give you a wedding proposal." My father said looking at me.

"I... what?" I asked out of confusion.

Just then Aaron got out of his chair and walked over to me and kneeled down on one knee. "Mina Raven Winters will you marry me?" He asked and held out a very gorgeous ring. I blushed and looked away from him not answering. In doing so and I guess taking my silence as an answer he put the ring on my ring finger and sat back down in his seat.

"I... um... may I please be excused?" I asked no one in perticular.

My father nodded. "Yes you may Mina." He said and I immediately got up and walked up the stairs into my room. When I got in there I looked down at the ring that was on my finger and I wanted to throw up. Im nineteen years old and I dont know what I want or who I love and I didnt want to do this. I looked up into the mirror on my vanity table trying to get a hold of myself. "Im getting married to Aaron Boston."

Aaron my best friend who I do not love. I needed to do something and I needed to do something quick. I can not marry Aaron I just couldnt. "But if Aaron being my husband is what makes me have the crown and become queen what else am I supposed to do?" I thought to myself.

Author Note: Well, this is the first chapter and I hope you like it. Sorry this chapter is short but I promise the next ones will be longer. And as a heads up not all of the chapters are going to be in Mina's point of view. Considering in this story the setting changes a lot Im going to have other character point of views up and some of them are going to be shorter than others so just bare with me.
