Chapter 1

Aaron

When Mina didnt exactly answer me I figured she was in shock. I knew right a way that she didnt want to marry me. I mean we are best friends, but I really did like her as more than a friend. I mean maybe in the future when we are married she'll learn to love me even if I already love her.

I mean if you think about it, it was mine and Mina's duty to marry because we both needed to uphold our crown.

I got up from the dining table I was sitting at and bowed lowly to my father and then to Mina's father. "If I may be excused Im going to talk to my fiance." I said and left the table going up into her room.

I knocked on her door because it was closed and I waited for her response. "Come in." She calls and I could tell from her voice that she was upset. I opened the door and walked inside. Her room was huge, but if I took a look at it, it was about the same size as my own room, so I couldnt judge.

She was sitting on her bed in the sundress she was wearing at dinner. The dress was white and had pink roses on it and came to about her knees. Mina looked so pretty and I still cant believe she didnt think I liked her as anymore than a friend until tonight. To be honest I loved her as more than a friend ever since I met her. Mina was just the perfect wife for me I couldnt see anyone else taking her place.

"Mina..." I hesitate out of nervousness. "Are you ok?" I asked her and went over to her on the bed.

She nodded once not answering me just looking down at the big ring that I had put on her finger.

"Look, Mina I know you probably dont want to do this, but theres no other choice. Im sorry. On the plus side theres going to be a huge ball to celebrate our engagement and everyone is invited." I said excitedly. "And when I mean everyone I mean everyone. Even some of the commoners are allowed to come. Arent you excited?" I asked her and held onto her hand in mine looking into her eyes.

Mina nodded again. "Yes, Im excited. When is the party?" She asked.

I smiled big. "The party is tomorrow. Thats why your parents allowed my family to stay here tonight. We needed to be here for the party." By the look on her face when I told her the party I almost laughed. Her face was one of shock and uneasiness. "Dont worry the preparations are all in order and you dont have to do anything. We've been preparing this for weeks, waiting to tell you at the right time. If anything this is going to be like your sweet sixteen party, you'll only have to dance with a few people including me and thats all you'll have to worry about. I promise and I'll help you on your feet, if you fall." I promised her.

She merely just nodded again and looked down at the ring.

I sighed. "Alright Im going to leave you to your thoughts now." I said and kissed her on her forehead letting go of her hand. "I'll see you in the morning Mina. I promise tomorrow is going to be fun and you're going to have a wonderful time." I said and left the room closing the door behind me.

I sighed again and went into the room that Mina's parents had given me. The party was tomorrow and I was nervous. Tomorrow was the first time I was going to be known as Mina's fiance and vice versa. "Good god, I hope I do good tomorrow." I mutter to myself and get ready for bed.

Author Note: I hope you liked this chapter. Again Im sorry its short but you guys just have to bare with me still. The next chapter isnt going to be the party yet, because Im introducing another character and that chapter might be a little longer, but Im not sure yet. But I can bet the 4th chapter is definitely going to be the party.

I hope you like Aaron so far. To be honest there will be a lot more of him in this story. Aswell as Mina.
