Chapter Four

"I'm here na boss!" masayang bati ni Rhian pag dating niya agad sa opisina. Luke just looked at her emotionless and continued scanning the photos that she passed yesterday. Inilapag niya sa mesa nito ang dalang cupcakes. Nang hindi pa rin ito tumitingin sa kanya, bigla siyang sumigaw ng malakas para makuha ang atensyon nito.

"Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh. Wahhhhh!!!"

"Dafuq! Bakit ba?! Alam kong andiyan ka na. No need to shout. Alam mo bang nakakabuwesit boses mo?" pagalit na sabi nito sa kanya.

"Eh kasee... Hindi mo ako pinapansin eh. You didn't even smile when you saw me enter. Manliligaw ba talaga kita? Ikaw lang ata ang manliligaw ko na palaging galit sa akin kahit two minutes late lang ako. Ikaw lang ata ang manliligaw na palaging sinisigawan ang liniligawan kapag may maliit na kasalanan ako sayo. Sabihin mo nga, ha Luke Castellan, na kaaway ni Percy Jackson. Liniligawan mo ba ako o trip mo lang sabihin na gusto mo ako dahil bored ka nung mga panahong yun?" parang nanay na sabi niya. Tiningnan lang siya nito na parang may ginawa nanaman siyang mali. Okay. Pinagsabihan niya boss niya. Amazing isn't it?!

Sa wakas nakuha niya rin ang atensyon nito. Inilapag na nito sa mesa ang photos at itinuon ang pansin nito sa kanya.

"Rhian Blaire. Of course I like you. Kaya nga kita liniligawan diba? By the way. I bought you chocolates from Spain. Kunin mo lang sa drawer diyan mamaya. Ikaw kumuha total para naman yan sa'yo. Ehem. Okay. Like I told you before I started courting you, that hindi ako katulad ng ibang manliligaw mo. When it comes to work, no matter how much I like you, still, you're an employee and I'm sorry honey but I need to treat you like this."Luke just gave her his famous boyish grin.

"Oh by the way. Before I forgot AGAIN.  Stop reading Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus' series. Halos lahat ng nakikita mo eh kinokumpara mo na sa binabasa mo. Pati pangalan ko dinawit mo pa."

Napasimangot siya sa huling sinabi nito.

"Wrong choice of word Mr. Castellan. It should be minimize. Not stop. And I'm sorry but I can't help myself from comparing especially the Luke Castellan from the book. Oh! He's hot just like you so no worries."she used her sweetest tone on him that she knows he could never resist.

Napabuga na lang ng hangin si Luke. Letting Rhian win this time. AGAIN.

"Okay. I'm sorry. So, let's proceed to the reason why I called you here. I know na pumunta ka kay Sean and it hurts me. Really. I called you because I want to personally congratulate you because you captured lots of amazing and breath taking photos of nature this time. You made it perfect. So to enjoy your reward--"

"I have a reward?! Yay! I so like you boss!!When can I claim it. Oh, before I forgot. What is it?" excited na tili niya kaya hindi niya namalayang hindi pa pala natatapos sa sasabihin nito si Luke. She can't wait to know her reward this time. The last reward she received was a trip to a mountain resort for a week.

"This time, I'm giving you a break. You have two months break from your work. I'm sorry I cannot send you to vacations muna. I'm still searching for places dahil halos lahat ng sulok ng Pilipinas nalibot.mo na." napapangiting sabi ni Luke.

She got excited. That means makakapag focus na siya kay Sean! Okay na yun.

"No need to search for places Luke. I'm okay kahit dito na lang ako."she said.

"Alright. Uhm. Rhian, I wanna invite you to late dinner after office hours sana."wika nito.

"Eh. I have a lot of things to do pa eh. I need to visit dad. I hope you understand?"she said while crossing her fingers hoping na hindi mahahalata ni Luke that she is lying.

"Okay. Maybe next time then?"

"Next time. I swear upon the river styx." she raised her right hand.

Natawa na lang si Luke kaya nagpaalam na siya na umalis. She need to tell the good news to Shin.

"What!! You'll be gone for two whole months?"sigaw ni Sean si secretarya. Hindi siya makapaniwala sa nangyayari ngayon. He had a lot of problems to attend to at dadagdag pa ang secretarya niya. He badly needs a secretary!

"Sir. I really need to go back to my province. My family needs me. I know na luma at gasgas na rason na yan. Pero yan po talaga ang totoo. Kailangan kong tulungan ang pamilya kong magtayo ng bagong negosyo dahil bumagsak ang unang negosyo ng mamatay si papa." tila naluluhang sabi ng secretarya niya.

Napabuntong hininga na lang siya. Naaawa rin naman siya aa secretarya niya kaya papayag na siya. Hindi naman siya ganun kasama para pigilan ito.

"Okay. I allow you. Pero bumalik ka after two months or else bababa posisyon mo dito sa kompanya. Ihanap mo ako ng bagong secretary within this week at dapat magaling din siya." he said. Kailangan niya ng secretary dahil mahaba ang dalawang buwan.

"Okay po sir. Tatawagan ko po ang mga kilala ko. Thank you very much sir. And please wag mo po akong palitan agad dahil magaling ang hahanapin kong substitute ko." obvious na natutuwa  ito sa pagpayag niya.

"No problem. And I trust you that you're coming back. Dismissed" and he went back to his work.

He checked his phone and received ten messages from Rhian telling him to eat merienda and not get tired and rest if he feels exhausted from all the paper works. He just smiled. She's still my old Rhei. No matter what I do to her, she still won't give up. She'll always be with me even if I push her away. How I wish Nikki will do the same. I miss her.

He continued working non-stop doing everthing just to forget all the pain that Nikki had gave him. Pero hindi pa rin siya susuko. He loves Nikki.

"Hello!" Rhian gave Sean's secretary her sweetest smile. His secretary smiled back. Alam niyang wala si Sean sa opisina nito dahil may out of town business meeting ito - of course with the help of her friend that's why she knew - kaya ang secretary mismo ang sadya niya upang makibalita.

"I'm really sorry Ms. Rhian pero may ginagawa pa kasi ako eh. Maybe next time?" at nagpatuloy sa ginagawa bago siya dumating.

"Ano ba yan? Hmm. Maybe I can help if you wanted me to of course" sinisilip niya kung ano ang ginagawa nito sa harap ng computer.

"Babalik kasi ako sa probinsya namin at mawawala ako for two months kaya naghahanap ako ng substitute secretary ni Sir Sean. Dalawang buwan lang naman. Kaso halos lahat ng mga kakilala ko ay may mga trabaho na." tila pagod na pagod na wika nito. She guessed the secretary was searching nonstop. Knowing Sean, he's a VERY busy man kaya naman pinapadali niya siguro ang secretarya nito na maghanap na temporary kapalit nito. Wait..... Temporary kapalit? I guess I can help. Two months diba? I have an experience working as a seretary naman eh. From my dad's company. Kaso medyo tamad pa ako sa mga oras na yun kaya pinili ko na lang maging photographer. Pero I can do anything naman when it comes to Sean eh.

"I guess I know someone na very willing to be a subSecretary. Basta turuan mo lang siya sa dapat niyang gawin. She's willing to learn and she can start anytme." she gave the secretary her biggest grin this time.

"Talaga po?! Sino?!" napatayo ang secretarya dahil mukhang na excite at makakauwi na ito sa probinsya nito.

Mwahahaha.. For two months I'll be Sean's secretary. It's a big oppurtunity indeed.
