The Beginning Of The End

So it begins

I started to hear loud noises, screaming, and crying. The light started to flood my eyes as I started to see the scene around me. Blood, metal, glass, emergency crew, and bystanders. As I look around I see a body bag and then I see my body on stretcher. Liam! He didn't make it I started to feel my self panic.

The emergency crew was checking my pulse and assessing me. I felt my self getting faint as the last thing I see was my car at he bottom of the hill smashed into a big tree. When all of a sudden everything went black.

"She will be ok, she suffered several broken bones and internal bleeding but she will make it." When I was waking up I was in the waiting room listening to the nurses. My father and mother were crying holding on to each other.

"We have to call Liam's parents, I don't know how to tell a mother her child has been killed." My mom pulls out her phone and dials Liam's moms number.

I walk slowly down the corridor and look in the room and people in strange suits were assessing me. What the hell is going on, they were getting ready to wheel me away. When I hear screaming and my mom running down the hall.

"Where are you going with my baby girl!" Nurses and doctors were trying to stop her.

"It's better if she goes with them, she will be safe and they will be in contact with you in a few days about her condition." The doctor informed her.

The light once again started to fade and I felt like I was drifting through space. It was dark and cold.

"Skylar?" I hear Liam's voice calling to me.

"Liam where are you?" I couldn't see anything.

His voice kept calling my name but it got more and more faint with each time. Loud yelling and bright lights filled my ears.

"She is contained now?" I heard a female voice say.

"Yes the tank is up and running and vitals look good doctor." I hear a familiar voice say.

"Good within the next 48 hours her powers should be awoken and then it will take a little bit for her to heal. Then the real training will begin." Then a loud bang happened and the place shook.

I looked around men in bright yellow suits were walking around the tube. I walk over to it and look down and I see my self in a tank of water. I am covered in cuts and bruises. I start to freak out and I know at this point there is nothing I can do. Who were these people?

"Dr.Laynden , you haven't changed a bit since the last time I saw you. Still trying to find the end to your research?" She smiled.

"I think I just found her." She pointed to the tank.

"This girl survived life threatening injuries which should have killed her. Her fiancé didn't make it he flew out of the wind shield. She was half out of the windshield when they found her." She said with amazement.

I just kept telling my self this isn't real I'm dreaming and that I will wake up and everything will be fine. They just kept injecting things into the IV line they had going. I wonder what is going on what the hell are they doing to me? What do they mean about research?

I decided to go explore this place. If was full of tanks similar to mine, there were men and woman just like me in these tanks. I remember hearing about people going missing on the news and a lot of them were these people.

I hear someone coming down the halls, and they walked into the rooms there's tanks are in. Someone was let out and they were so different then when the pictures came on the news. Some had beautiful tattoos of dragons going down their arms in different colors.

I walked down to the last room in the building and there was a large arena. Hundreds of people yelling and cheering as I see two people battling it out. This was so different then any other fighting I have ever seen before.

I can't even begin to describe what it looked like. They were doing some sick experiments on these people. I am going to get to the bottom of this one way or another. I left the arena and continued down to the office rooms. I see files everywhere, I see one with my name on it and not only was my name on it but I was listed (The end) I looked through the file.

I saw a list of different injections, XEF15, XEF3 etc.

"We have found her, she is the one we have all been waiting for. She will be the one who will save us all from our extinction!" I hear coming from down the hall as I walk back into the arena there is a large screen pulled down with my picture on it.

This has to be illegal for this to be up and running. I was thinking to my self, as I walked in I saw people turn to look. They can see me?

Then I hear someone else talk behind me. "Six months, we have six months for her awakening and in that time we all prepare we don't know what she will be like at first but we must all prepare." I turn to see a white haired man. He looked back at me and smiled.

Something was very off about this place. Experiments and what not, and hundreds of people interested in me. I can't understand it. I always felt like I was different but from what they are describing I am special in many ways which I can't begin to understand.

I feel my self becoming tired again and everything started to fade. Here we go again was my last thought before I drifted once again into the deep dark hole of nothingness.
