The Beginning Of The End

Where do we begin

It's been a few days since the phone call, I have been practicing some tricks with my powers. Also formulating a plan in my brain as to how I am going to break in and do what I need to.

Instead of heading to the facility they said I started back to were I was being held. I'm going to get my parents back if that's the last thing I do. No one should ever have to suffer the fate that I have had to endure.

Determination and anger has driven me to come to this point. Why am I this monster? Why am I so important to these people?

I made my way to the closest diner and I sat in a corner booth. I could hear the tv in the background talking about the fire that happened back at my parents house.

When my food got brought to my table to sat and ate as the leader of the facility came across the screen.

"This message is for Skylar." As she said that my parents picture came across the screen and they were being tortured.

I threw money down on the table and left as fast as I could. I had no car so I was on foot...

....

After what seemed like hours a car pulled over and stopped right beside me.

"Are you Skylar?" I was freaked out and kept walking.

"I was sent to come pick you up. I'm not one of them." He tried to reassure me. My trust was running thin so I turned to look at him.

"If your not one of them then who sent you." I asked and the man pulled over and got out of his car.

"I am sent by someone very close to you, I was asked not to disclose the details." I say there and debated wether this was smart or not.

"How do I know I can trust what you are telling me?" I challenged.

"I understand you hesitancy, but the person who sent me wanted me to give you this." He handed me a single red rose.

This reminded me of someone who use to bring me roses. My eyes started to get watery as I held back tears.

"Skylar he just wants you safe, I know you are on your way to play hero but is it smart to do this on your own?" I shot him a glare and turned my back.

"I have to do this, this is impossible that your employer is real." As I started to walk away.

"There are somethings that are hard to explain and sometimes you have to trust fate." He said and I turned around in disbelief.

"Where did you hear that? Someone I know who died use to tell me that all the time." Now the tears where flowing freely.

"Come with me and I will show you." He stated.

"Before I come with you can I ask your name?" He smiled.

"Certainly my name is, Ryan." As I got in the car we continued to talk.

"How did you know where to find me?" I asked.

"Honestly luck, we were able to get the ping from your last location from your phone then I just drove." I looked at him truly confused.

"Who is we? Who sent you? Why can't you tell me?" I just asked a bunch of questions hoping for some answer.

"All in good time my friend all of your questions will be answered." I just kept getting more and more frustrated.

"We have a long drive ahead of us if you want to get some sleep I would suggest it." I laid my head back on the seat and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Dream sequence: Flash Back

I sat in a field as the sun was hitting off my skin. I had Liam beside me as we watched the clouds in the sky.

"I wan to have every day like this." He stated and I looked over at him.

" Graduation is tomorrow, what do you think our future will hold?" I asked him as he looked over at me with this look I have never seen before.

"I think it will be filled with adventure and love. I think in time we will settle down and have a family. First there will be hardship but it nothing we can't get through." I just sat there and cried.

"Baby, I want to be with you forever but what if one of us dies or something really bad happens?"  I cried.

He held me tight. "Dont think like that, what ever may come our way we will take it day by day. "

"How do you know we will be ok and nothing will happen to us." He pulled back and looked at me.

"I don't but what I do know is, There are somethings that are hard to explain and sometimes you have to trust fate."

He just held me while I cried. He was running his hands through my hair comforting me.

"I love you Skylar." He said. It was the first time he had ever said it to me.

"I love you so much Liam you have no idea." His hold on me got tighter. As he pulled my chin up and connected his lips to mine.

End of dream sequence.

I woke up sweating and I felt fresh tears come down my cheeks. He is gone and i all I am left with is his memory.

"Skye we are almost there you have to wake up ." He turned to look at me and he had a saddened look on his face.

"Bad dream?" I just looked up at him I didn't speak.

"I am missing my fiancé terribly. He was killed in a car accident that I wish it was me and not him that was gone." I just sat there looking out the window.

"He will always be with you in your heart, the pain will get easier." He said.

"Come with me Skylar it's time to meet my employer." He opened the car door and I was led into this small beautiful home.

As the door opened and his employer came into view my eyes about popped out of my head.

"Hello Skylar, I have missed you."
