The Beginning Of The End

What future?

As time passed things got darker, the past was playing through my head like a movie. How can there be a future in this hell and purgatory?

I started to feel my self get heavier and heavier as I felt as if I was submerged in a thick liquid. My eyes started to flutter open as I see people around me with their clip boards.

All staring at me as if I had seen a ghost all screaming and yelling. I started to feel my self panic as I couldn't breath I then realized that I was in a tank of water.

Who were these people? What had they been doing to me? I felt an electricity flow through me and all of a sudden I broke the glass and out I went with the water.

Doctors and lab techs came running at me all at once. Soon guards followed shortly behind guns drawn.

I felt my self stand up, I had full control of my body at this point. I once again felt an electricity flow through with an immense amount of heat. I screamed in pain and as I did this everyone once standing around me was against the walls.

"What kind of monster am I?" I think as I look down at my hands.

"What have you done to me?!" I scream as the doctors and lab techs come to. I scream that over and over and over again.

All stare in horror as I try and get answers, what had they done I don't feel human...

As I move my hands forward the objects in the room are no longer on the floor. As I drop my hands everything came down with a crash.

"You are the future." A doctor said as she stood up after regaining consciousness. I spun around to look at her to make sure I heard that correctly.

"You weren't due to wake up for at least another couple of months." As she tried to approach me I put my hand up to stop her.

"Do not touch me, you are psychotic!" I scream as I try to move but my legs are like jello from being inactive for so long.

I heard low growling coming from behind me as I turn two very large dog type animals stand beside me. They looked unnatural as if summoned from the pits of hell.

I started to walk towards the door to walk out to get away. No one dared to try and stop me, they all stood aside as me and the animals emerged from the lab.

As I kept making my way to exit all stood and didn't do anything. How long has it been since the accident? How are my parents? What happened to Liam?

I walk out of the facility as the sun hit my face blinding me. I started to walk to the closest car and I got wired it and made my way down the street.

I had no idea where I was, I found a phone in the car. I tried to see if it was unlocked thankfully it was.

I found the GPS app and put in the only address that came to mind. My mom and and dads place, maybe they knew what was going on with me. I need answers. There is so much I have to learn and need to find out about this.

State by state I went from a lab in Boston Massachusetts. I made my way back home in North Carolina. I found money and a phone, some people really are stupid enough to leave stuff like this behind.

I had to pull over on my way down there the rain was so bad it was coming down in sheets. Making it impossible for me to be able to see the road and cars around me.

Arriving in North Carolina was quite refreshing, and relieving. It took me about 2 hours to get home, as I arrived the sun was setting it was a perfect sunset.

The sky was lit up like cotton candy colors, a little bit of pinks, orange, red, purple, and blue. The way the sun was hitting off the wheat and corn fields made me forget about the worry and anxiety for a period of time.

Finally I arrived home I saw my moms car in the drive way and my dads truck was by the barn. I could see my dad in the barn working. I sneakily made my way to the barn to surprise him.

I got right up behind him and hugged him from behind. I felt him freeze and then he relaxed.

"Bug! How are you here?!" He turned fully around and embraced me. I heard him scream for my mom who came running out crying.

After the heartfelt reunion, we sat down while momma made her famous shepherds pie. I found out I had been taken away shortly after I had my accident.

"Mom, what did they do with Liam?" I heard my moms breath catch as I looked up from my plate of food. She looked at me as my dad came over and put his hand on my shoulder.

"Tomorrow we can take you to him." I looked from my mom to my dad. I felt the overwhelming emotion as I started to feel my self ball my eyes out.

As morning arrived my dad came in early to wake me. I got in the shower and washed up after I don't know how long this shower felt absolutely amazing.

We sat quietly in my dads truck as we made our way across town. We ended up at the local cemetery, as we made our way through the cemetery I felt my self becoming so numb as if any moment I was going to wake up from this nightmare.

Soon we arrived at the one, I felt my legs give out on me as I fell to the ground sobbing.

"I am so sorry Liam it should have been me that day!" I scream as I feel my self becoming more and more numb.

My mom and dad came over and rubbed my back and held me while I cried.

After a few hours of sitting at his grave we went home. As the news came on we all froze as we heard.

"Young woman presumed dangerous, has escaped from Longwood Medical Facility." I looked at the TV as a sudden surge of rage came through me.

I felt as if my body was on fire I looked at my parents and they looked back at me as me and surrounding area caught on fire.

"Mom, dad what is happening." I said as I felt my self getting faint and the light around me started to fade.

Soon a darkness once again consumed me, but now I know I am something dangerous. I am not human, and I am certainly not the future...

I am death...
