Zodiac gazed out at the ocean of stars locked away outside the castle of lions. she doesn't remember the last times she's actually see the stars, and just knowing that their still there today calms her anxiety. a gentle hand pulls her away from her thoughts, making her shutter under the sudden touch but relaxes as she peers into a sea of purple.
"it's okay, i'm not going to hurt you," the red paladin sends a warm smile towards the frightened girl, melting her fears away, "um," Keith pauses, trying to find the words he wants to speak, "if your up to it, can we ask you a few questions?"
Zodiac nods and mumbles a quiet, "yes" as Keith ushers her to the couch the rest of the paladins were sitting at. She feels the fear start to crawl up her spine once more, sending a small whimper flying out her chapped lips, causing a tingling sensation to jolt through Keith's chest.
he shacks off the strange sensation and sits in the middle of the couch facing the rest of the team and pats his hand on the other side for Zodiac to sit. the young girl slightly hesitates before she sits down far enough away from the red paladin, but also close enough to feel safe. Zodiac shuffles in her seat as she peers up at the six pairs of eyes sadly gazing at her saddened face.
Keith places his hand on Zodiac's shoulder and gives her a sweet nod before looking over at Allura giving her an open invitation to speak. "hello," she begins as she straightens her posture, "if it's alright with you, we, we would like to ask you a few questions, mkay?"
Zodiac nods once more.
"why don't we start off simple," Keith begins as he looks into those deep yellow orbs of Zodiacs, "what is your full name and age?"
"my name is Zodiac, but my 아빠 calls me Zodi," Zodiac says as she glances down at her hands without emotion, "i, i don't know how old i am anymore." right after those words feel from Zodi's lips, the temperature in the room went cold as the group of paladin's hearts slowly broke.
"it's alright," the teen in green reassures the galra with a warm smile, "after we're done here i'll personally look over the data we collected when you were healing and i'll find your exact age." a slight smile crosses Zodiac's face. silence falls over the group of eight before Pidge pipes in once more, "Zodiac, where is your home? do you know what planet it's on?"
Zodiac ponders that question for just a tick before slowly nodding.
"could you tell us where, then we can start searching for your home?" Shiro, the black paladin questions the girl.
she shakes her head in response; sending a daze of confusion to float over the paladins before answering in a quiet, mournful voice, "there is no point. Kejj, my home was destroyed the day of my capture," tears being to well up in her eyes as she clenches and unclenches her fists in anxiety.
don't cry. you must stay strong.
"c-can i take a break, i-i'm tired." Zodi says, choking on her unwanted tears.
"of course my dear, i'll show you to your sleeping quarters." Allura says dearly as she extends her hand for Zodi to hold, but puts it to her side after she declines.
"th-thank you."

Keith stands in control room, tapping his left foot in anxiety as he waits for a response to his call to the Blade of Marmora.
after the brief conversation with Zodi earlier, and after she was put to bed, Allura insisted for Keith to call Kolivan, the BoM's leader in hopes of any information on the still unknown children.
Keith begins to loose hope of contacting their allies and groans in annoyance. he understands that the BoM is confidential and all, but does he seriously have to wait till their call 'request' is accepted? i mean, it's voltron not some threat or anything!
"oh my god, just answer the quiznaking call!" keith shouts to the holographic screens. he groans one more time before he begins to take his leave, tired of standing around, "never mind, i'll just call later." but as he gets to the door he hears a gruff voice call his name.
"Keith, is voltron in need of assistance?" Kolivan, the chief galra asks in an unfamiliar, worried tone.
"No, well actually, kind of," Keith begins as he rolls his wrist, "at our last mission, i, we picked up to prisoners, two young galras," Keith begins his explanation for the call, "i was just wondering if you could help us identify who they are." Keith asks as he fiddled with his thumbs, but before Kolivan could answer, a distressed yet rejoiced Lance bolts through the control room's large doors.
"H-He, he's awake, he's awake," Lance begins out of breath, "And he's screaming for an 아빠?" Keith's eyes go wide and rushes out the door before he even takes notice of Lance's poor pronunciation.
