Twelfth Chapter
"Being a Badass"

The Next Day
Monday
Sara's POV

I sighed as I sat down at the usual table in the cafeteria with the emo's. They hadn't stopped talking about what I had done yesterday, and neither did the rest of the school, which.. well, saying it wasn't a good thing... understatement.

Emily hadn't shown up to school, which was probably a way bigger 'no-no' because now everyone felt free to talk about it. I yawned tiredly.

"Sleepy?" Falcon commented, causing me to glare at him. I had gotten less than four hours of sleep last night since I had been too worried about what Emily was going to do to me. A stupid move, sure, since now I wouldn't really be as smart as I would be if I had a full night's sleep.

"No, I just yawn in my free time." I muttered.

He laughed, shaking his head. "Wasn't aware it was a hobby for some people."

I snorted, about to reply when I watched a girl approach angrily with a water bottle in her hand.

She was heading towards the table and I winced.

"Alice Stone?" She questioned with a glare, finally stopping and I blinked.

"What's it to you?" I snapped causing her glare to falter for a second before it was back, with twice the hatred.

"I have a message for you."

I raised an eyebrow boredly before she dumped the water over my head, causing me to sit there, shaking my head in disbelief as I looked up at her, a little chuckle escaping.

I noticed how everyone was watching now, and I felt kinda happy in a way that it was water, because now I was really awake.

"Is that the best she could do?"

I grinned at her hesitant look, and she backed up for a second causing me to stand up, unable to help it.

"Boo."

She ran off causing me to sit back down, not caring that I was now soaked.

"Wow." Karley stated, looking at my appearance with a frown. "Aren't you gonna go to the bathroom to uh... fix yourself up?"

I pouted. "Don't you find my wet rat look sexy?"

Laughter erupted from the table causing me to join along with it.

It felt nice to smile and not care who didn't like you for it for once.

"Seriously, you're dripping water on the floor." Devin mentioned, frowning at the water that was dripping from me onto the cafeteria floor.

I laughed, looking down at my soaked appearance. "Yeah... I should probably do something about that..."

Standing up, apparently a bit too quickly for I fell right back onto my ass, because I slipped on the water, I grimaced in pain though laughed, not really caring for the few people who had looked my way in confusion of the loud thump.

Pulling myself from the ground, I noticed the rest of the group trying to stifle laughter, even Seth and Claire. Crossing my arms and pouting, I hmphed, and walked off towards the bathroom, giggling myself as the water continued to drip.

Shaking my head as I walked into the bathroom, I grabbed a few paper towels and dabbed the eyeliner that had dripped with a frown. Reaching into my backpack, I easily pulled out my makeup and redid it, fixing up my wet rat look so I looked a lot better.
