A Whole New World

-A NEW SQUAD-

Sofia, Eddie and Jeff decided to talk about it at Sofia's house. Eddie and Jeff sat akwardly in Sofia's living room as Sofia served them tea.

"Just two? What about you?" Eddie asked.

"No thanks, I don't like tea." Sofia said.

She took a sit and stared akwardly at the ground.

"I'm sorry I overreacted," Sofia apologised.

"It's okay, I'd do the same thing for Emily."

"I'm sorry, but I wasn't doing it for Emily. I wanted to know myself what the light is, what it does, why I'm the one who saw it."

"I'd do the same thing too if I knew that there was a portal hidden in the woods the whole time." Eddie said.

"Are you sure it's a portal?" Jeff asked

Eddie shrugged, "Well, if we look at the signs, then it's true,"

In the meantime, Mia and Alex were looking for their best friend at the library.

"Alex, have you seen Sofia?"

"Sofia? No, but have you seen Eddie?"

"No. Where could she be? She asked me to come here," Mia said worried.

"I just wanted to spy on them," Alex said.

Mia gave him a look.

"Well, a boy and a girl in love, you know there's only one place they'd end up," Alex lifted his eyebrows.

Mia smacked him on the head.

"Sofia's not like that!"

"Ouch! sorry, I was just looking at perspective,"

Mia smacked him again.

"Okay! Okay! They're probably just walking around the park or something! Just don't do that again! Alex pleaded.

"Park? Come on we gotta find them," Mia ordered.

"We?"

"Why are you so worried about her? She's a fully grown 14 year old, I'm sure she can handle herself." Alex tried to catch up to Mia.

"I don't know? Best friend instincts,"

"Is that even a thing?" I don't get that about Eddie?"

"You sure? Maybe you've never noticed,"

"Well, My instincts are telling me that the both of them are together," Alex said.

"Hmm, me too. Should we go to the park?" Mia asked.

"Uh...no, Sofia's house."

"What! No! Why would they-"

"I should trust my best friend instincts am I right? Alex cut her off.

"Fine, but if they're not there, you'll be following wherever I go!" Mia started to walk faster.

The both of them reached Sofia's without saying another word. Mia knocked on Sofia's door and called out her name.

"Sofia! Sofia! Are you there?"

Sofia turned remembering about Mia. She ran to the door and peeped  her head through the door.

"Hey Mia, I'm sorry I had to come home early. I'm kinda busy right now,"

"Busy? With what?"

"Hey Eddie!" Alex shrieked as he peeked throught the window.

Mia looked at Sofia.

"I can explain, just...come in,"

Mia entered and saw Jeff and Eddie sitting on the couch, sipping their tea.

"Wow! Eddie and.... and...JEFF?" Mia couldn't believe her eyes.

"Ooo Eddie," Alex flopped onto the couch and put his hands around Eddie.

"Mia no, We're here because-"

"Because of what!"

"Because of the light I saw just morning,"
