"Your cooking skills definitely have improved." Zoro said with his mouth full.
"Thank you!" Amie said with a smile, and took a bite as well. She made lamb with a red wine sauce, jacked potatoes filled with garlic and other herbs and several kinds of grilled vegetables. The compliment was sincere, but it wasn't too difficult to improve on your cooking if you go from wood fire to actual kitchen equipment.
"You got us this beautiful view though." She complimented him back. It was warm and the sun was setting, so Zoro thought it might be nice to put a table outside. Zoro smiled.
"More wine?" He asked.
"I already had 2 glasses! You know I don't have a high tolerance level!" She told him.
"So you have to drink more to work it up." He replied with a smirk.
"And you just want to get me drunk!" Amie accused him.
"You're just funny when you're drunk!" he admitted. Amie sighed with a smile.
"I'll have one more glass, but that's it! I want to meet your crewmates!" She explained.
"Fine..." He sighed disappointed.
"If your crewmates let you go for the night tomorrow, you'll get more fun. If you want." Amie said playfully.
"Wait what? You're usually not that much to the point." Zoro said confused.
"Well I know it's soon, but it's been a while and it's more like 'we'll see if we feel like it' rather than 'just do it'." She explained herself.
"Yeah, we'll see." Zoro replied. He himself didn't really feel up to it and he was very sure she wasn't either. He figured she mainly said it to ensure that Zoro knew she did want to pick it up at some point, but just not today.

They finished diner, cleaned everything up and walked towards the ship.
"Bluuh, I feel buzzed... I shouldn't have drunk that third glass." Amie said as she rubbed her forehead.
"Well you're still neither all giggly nor walking a bit funnily, so I guess your alcohol tolerance improved." Zoro noted.
"Figures, became a demon so yay alcohol, sin..." She said sarcastically.

Meanwhile, when Sanji got back to the ship around lunchtime.
"Sanji! Hurry up, I'm hungry!" Luffy whined.
"Yeah, yeah, I know! I just came back for that reason!" Sanji shouted back annoyed. After lunch, Usopp and Sanji did the dishes together.
"What did you do?" Usopp asked.
"I went to see Amie. I saw Zoro as well." Sanji casually said.
"You saw them together?" Usopp immediately asked.
"You knew?" Sanji asked in return.
"I was the one who told him where she was!" Usopp proudly stated.
"I see. Did you figure out how they parted???" Sanji asked curiously. Usopp hesitated.
"Well... not exactly how, but Zoro didn't expect seeing her again." He vaguely explained.
"They had a breakup?" Sanji continued.
"No! No, no... When I asked Zoro what happened, he answered it, but I didn't want to continue asking. He was nearly crying!" Usopp said. When he saw Sanji burst out in a bit of laughter, Usopp felt a bit bad for saying that out loud.
"The swordsman? Crying???" Sanji asked. Usopp did not approve this!
"Dude! She died half a year ago!!!" He yelled angrily. Sanji stopped and felt guilty.
"Oh....damn... Wait, how can she be alive then?!" Sanji asked.
"Dunno." Usopp admitted.
"I guess Zoro won't be eating supper with us, or he brings Amie with him." Sanji said.
"We'll see, I guess." Usopp finished the subject and they continued on the dishes.

The sun had already been going down and yet the swordsman hadn't returned.
"I wonder where mister swordsman is." Robin said. "He probably got lost." Nami answered.
"Maybe a wild beast got him with a venomous bite." Robin wondered. The others simply stared at her and sweatdropped as Robin continued reading her book. Then they heard two voices.
"Is the ship?" A slightly familiar female voice said.
"Yeah." A really familiar male voice said.
"It's so fabulous!" The female voice squealed.
"Ok, maybe not drink more."
"No shit!!!"
Luffy went outside and saw Amie.
"Amie! What are you doing here? You want to join us?" He asked with a grin.
"Hello and nah, I'll save that for later." She answered.
"We've got a lot to tell." Zoro said.
"Should I talk! You've never been one to tell stories." Amie asked and Zoro didn't mind. Inside everyone was surprised by Amie's sudden visit.

"Okay, okay, everyone get a seat. I'm going to tell you what I'm doing here, and why I came with Zoro." Amie started.
"Wait! I got to ask Sanji something. Why haven't you turned into hentai-mode yet?" Nami asked.
"Well uhm... She's already taken."
"Yeah yeah, but she was waiting on him. Usually a 'rival lover' isn't enough to stop you."
"Yeah well, he came back. There's not much I can do about him."
"Who???" Nami asked Amie now and she pointed at Zoro, who waved and smirked. Nami almost passed out in sudden shock, while the others were just sitting there like 'wtf?'.
"In one day???" Chopper asked.
"No. uhm... We're still together, so technically for three years or so." Amie answered and Zoro nodded.
"So you want to become part of my crew???" Luffy asked hopefully.
"Yeah of course! I'm not leaving him again!" She added while laughing.
"Well now that that's said, I wanted to meet you guys.
"I am Luffy! The man who's going to be the pirate king!"
"I'm Nami, the navigator."
"Usopp, the sniper."
"Sanji, the cook."
"Tony Tony Chopper, the doctor."
"Robin, archeologist."
"Nice to meet all of you, I am Amie. I don't know what my job here is, but I love science and logic."
"Really now?" Nami asked.
"Cool." Chopper squealed.
"She didn't have much of an education, but she read way too much. Watch this: Only those with weak hearts get a cold." Zoro said. Amie stiffened, turned her head and looked at him with wide eyes.
"I told you! The common cold is a viral disease, you get it through a virus! Everyone can get it! If you never get it than that's because you have a very good immune system! A weak heart is bullshit!" Amie shouted at him VERY fast and everyone but Zoro sweat dropped. Zoro just grinned at Amie's annoyance. He had teases her with it since the day he first said it.
"Told ya." Zoro said with a grin.
"You're now our scientist." Luffy decided, who didn't understand too much of it, but it sounded smart to him.
"Yay!" Amie said with a smile.

"You'll sleep in the girls dorm with me and Robin." Nami explained. Suddenly, Amie's eyes widened, blushed a bit and facepalmed.
"What?" Nami asked confused.
"She had three glasses of wine and she gets a really dirty mind when she gets tipsy." Zoro explained. Nami did the same as Amie now, Robin as well.
"Don't give her anymore. She doesn't tolerate alcohol very well." Zoro warned.

The rest of the evening was full of laughter and Amie telling parts about her and Zoro's past.
"I just don't get it. He's so emotionless! Last week I got a letter from my hometown that a very important person to me was wounded badly and might die, so I cried, and he told me to shut up because I was noisy!" Nami accused Zoro. Amie was sitting on Zoro's leg and looked at him with a disappointed look on his face. He looked away and whistled.
"Strange, he's the sweetest, nicest and most caring guy I ever met!" Amie replied with a smirk and Zoro blushed a bit.
"Can you not...?" He whispered embarrassed. This time Amie looked away and whistled and everyone had to laugh.

"By the way Sanji, I wouldn't have fallen for you anyway, because of how you appear to act around women." Amie admitted.
"What are you talking about?!" Sanji shouted in disbelief.
"Yeah well... It's as if the moment girls let you in you'll harass or rape them." Amie casually said and Zoro started laughing. Sanji fell into half a depression.
"I'll never find a girl who loves me back..."
"Now now, not so emo. Just be a bit less...on drugs." Amie said and Sanji got up again.
"Well I don't mind you." Nami said with a smile. "Really??? That's my nami-swan!" Sanji said happily with heart eyes.

At the end of the evening, Amie had drunk some sake, since it was one of Zoro's favourite drinks, and was already half asleep against Zoro's shoulder.
"We don't have a bed for her yet, do we?" Robin said. Usopp shakes his head. Zoro sighed and gently shook her awake. She made a confused noise and yawned.
"Come on, we should head back. We'll have a place set up for you tomorrow."
"Okay..." She sleepily said and the two headed back. Amie was awake enough to lead the way, after all.
