The plane had landed twenty minutes ago. I stood in the baggage claim, feeling scared. I was supposed to meet my foster parents, Anne and Robert Twist, here. But I had no idea what they looked like.
"Excuse me, are you Miss Fallon?" a literally massive man in all black said.
I jumped, muffling a scream. "Shhh, Miss. I won't hurt you." he said.
"Wh-Who are you?" I stammered.
"My name is Paul. I'm a bodyguard for the Twist's son and his friends." he said.
Bodyguard? Seriously? A bodyguard? Where have I been sent?
"Are you Blair Fallon?" Paul asked.
"Y-yes." I said.
"I'm here to take you to your new home. May I take your bag?" he asked.
"Sure." I said. He took my bag and led me out of the London airport. I was careful not to let him touch me. I was so nervous around men, especially muscular men. And beautiful ones. Tall, attractive, muscular men were the ones at school who would do what they wanted with me and throw me away.
Paul took me to a huge black limo that I balked at. "Go on, Miss Fallon. This is our car." he said.
I tentatively reached for the handle. And then I realized, with a thud in my heart, that my worst nightmare was coming true.
Remember what I said about not trusting tall, attractive, muscular boys?
Well now I was staring at five of them.
