Ever since our birth, we are admired and called blessings from the Heavens. We are raised like kings, believing we are above everyone else, and that is true. We, Celestial Dragons, are the children of gods! We are elites who deserve only perfection and the best of everything. Those mere mortals down below are nothing but peasants and trash who are not worthy to gaze on our splendor.
But I, Doflamingo son of the Donquixote family have been reduced of my godly status to live below in this shit-pile of a world! My idiotic father dragged my whole family into this hellhole and now we suffer at the hands of these dimwitted low-lives, who should've shoved their heads in the dirt at my presence.
Once, at the command of my voice my slaves would have come rushing to suit my every need. Once, at the point of my finger I would have everything I want in a blink of an eye. But now, at just the sight of us, they beat us till we bleed, they curse us for things I didn't even know we did. Once, they revered us with fear and obedience, now they strike us down with their earthly weapons.
"Hang the Celestial Dragons make them suffer!" "Shoot them with your arrows!" "Roast them till their skins bleed!"
"Please spare my children!"
Father, why do they hate us? Aren't we their gods? Father I don't understand. Aren't they born to serve us? What did we do wrong?
Father, what have you done- eh!?

"Everything we know is Right.
Everything we say is Truth.
Everything we want is Ours.
Those who disobey us are destroyed."
A large gold plaque etched with these words radiated with pride in the cathedral halls. "These are the words our holy forefathers bequeathed us with. The very forefathers who created this holy land 800 years ago to rank supreme from all the rest!" An obese lady lectured us while giving exaggerated poses to her every word.
Every end of the week, Celestial Dragons go to the Holy Cathedral at the center of Mariejois to boast of their own greatness and liking. The children are separated from the elders and are lectured about such matters that every Celestial should know. Unlike the humans below, we do not need to go to a place they call "school" for we are too intelligent for their barbaric minds. It is in the holy cathedral where such knowledge is only for the ears of Celestial Dragons. Originally, Father never encouraged us to visit this place. He says they "cruelly condition our minds." Whatever that meant.
However, he was away again. On another trip down the human world for a few days. It bothers me that his trips are getting frequent. After a day when father left, our cousins visited and invited us to attend. Mother was reluctant at first, but she accepted the offer for fear of being called a heretic. And now here I stand with my little brother, Roci, listening to this fat lady as she worships the name of Celestial Dragons.
"Nothing stood in our way." she added. Her exaggerated gestures make her fat body wiggle and bounce around. I believe Roci and I were the only ones to notice for we were the only ones giggling. "Until the D came!" she suddenly remarked in a serious tone. Fearful gasps can be heard all across the hall. There was silence for a few moments until my fellow celestials started questioning about the D.
"The D are the enemies who challenged our forefathers long ago." The fat lady pointed to the ceiling with paintings of our forefathers depicted us holy beings. Below them are small figured humans stomped by our godly ancestors. "Well as gods we vanquished them." Her voice echoed. The other children cheered happily. Roci and I felt unease. "P..poor D." he whispered as he felt sympathy for those fools. I for one am awed at how brave and idiotic they must be to face against us. But why? Why did they challenge us? They don't know any better. Do they? Curiosity struck my thoughts. "Are they still alive?" I questioned. The room fell silent. Suddenly all the children in the hall looked at my direction. I froze from where I stood.
"Isn't that the boy from the weird family?"
"His father's rumored to be a heretic."
I heard them whisper disrespectfully. As a Celestial we were thought to always boast and take pride of our family reputation and as the first-born son of St. Holming Donquixote, I am expected to make a name for my family. Every time our family was insulted, father just smiled and laughed it off. I was the one who always had to take a tough disposition for these ignorant boobs to hold us in high regard despite my father's shortcomings as a Celestial Dragon.
"I said are they still alive-eh?!" I asked loudly this time ignoring all the remarks the other children were giving me. The fat lady walked slowly towards me. Her flabby skin jiggled as she took steps. It looked humorous but her crooked smile disturbed me. "Some still remain on the deep ends of the Earth to terrorize little Celestials who wander too much into the world below." Roci gulped deeply at her statement. She was now towering over us. Her giant figure leaned close to where I stood. I kept close to my brother. "So you better be acting on your nicest behavior" Her eyes hypnotically glared at us. She then turned her crooked smile into a terrible wide grin.
"Or you'll be EATEN BY THE D!" she shouted at the top of her lungs. The children screamed with fright. I pulled Roci away and we ran towards the exit. I had to get out of this insane place. A dark-haired kid with a strangely distracting snot hanging from his nose was by the door. He caught sight of our frightful state. "Your whole family is a freakshow-eh!" he boasted and laughed. "Beat it!" I said as I pushed him away and ran to the next hall to find mother.
As I ran, the D was looming at the back of my mind. They were unknown people who faced the gods long ago. They must be natural enemies, for we are the gods and they.... the demons. Such a powerful enemy that can destroy us. The thought gave me a shiver.
I hope I won't come across one.

Hey guys! Just want to let you know that this is my first ever fan fiction. Doffy is one of my favorite villains in One Piece and after watching/reading about his backstory I wanted to write about him. And here it is! There will be non-canon scenes that I added to give more detail to my story. Whether you like it or not that's how the story will flow in only a few chapters. Don't worry it won't stray away from what is canon.
Here I imagined how Doffy would've lived his life as a Celestial Dragon, being that it is like a cult that they made for themselves. Also, there will be alot of foreshadowing in this story. I hope you notice and comment what you liked.
The world of One Piece is very expansive that it relates to many situations that are happening in our own world. Oda has done an incredible job at creating such a masterpiece. Kudos! Feel free to comment below on any critical points or on how you feel. Thank you and I hope you continue reading. :D
