Banished.

And so it went.

As if she never existed to him.

Alexandria went about her everyday life, this time prepping for a journey to the United Nations assembly in Vienna for the ratification of something called the Sokovia Accords? Or whatever that was. She had heard that they hadn't been able to finish the process due to an incident the last time.

Yet, with all this happening, her mind still wandered off to Christian. What had happened to him? She hated him. With a passion. He called her a whore and practically banished her from his sight yet she couldn't. Stop. Thinking. About. Him.

"Shit!" The woman cried out, tossing her Versace blazer to the ground behind her. She was so frustrated and flustered with everything that she didn't know what to do anymore.

"Babe, are you alright?!" James walked in, his dark eyes full of concern as her slipped his arms around her waist from behind.

James Lorenzo Caprino. Her beloved fiancé of a year. He'd recently come back from New York, just a few days ago, bringing her gifts and lavish luxuries. She missed him. But did she really?

For the fact was she almost slept with the King of England. In sober thoughts. Did she really care for her fiancé? That was the question she'd ask herself.

He placed a soft and gentle kiss to her cheek, a pout on his soft lips. Alexandria laughed softly, rubbing his hands as he embraced her, a gentle smile on her bright red lips.

"I'm fine now that you're here, babe." Alexandria whispered, laughing softly. Her eyes closed with bliss as she rested her head on James' broad shoulder.

"How was New York?" She asked sweetly, turning around out of his embrace.

But the moment she looked into his dark onyx eyes, she felt an enormous pang of guilt that made her insides turn with shame and horror as she twisted the ring on her index finger. His ring. Christian.

"It was exhausting. It was.... Unfinished business with an old group of friends and I." He stated, chuckling after he finished.

That was the usual story. He would get called off to New York and then 'get stationed' out in some foreign country. Recently, it was Germany and then Russia and she wasn't even sure why. But whatever the matter, James did come home, even if he had a few bruises and scratches.

But James was so sweet and gentle with her. She couldn't bare the pain of hurting him.

But I have.. She thought as she felt him wrap his protective arms around her waist. She tilted her head to look up at him, gently biting down her lip as she looked up at him, her blue eyes meeting his onyx orbs.

"I missed you so much, Ale." Her fiancé said with the sweetest smile, gently cupping her face to bring her lips to his in a sweet kiss.

Alexandria didn't have time to respond, thank God she didn't. She didn't even know what to say to him. She just kissed him back, guilt lingering in the back of her mind as she felt him back her up to the bed.

"You can't keep leaving me like this.." She muttered, laying back on the mattress, a subtle smile on her lip as he pulled away.

She felt like she was floating in a lake of peace and tranquility as he brushed some of her golden tresses behind her ears. Her eyes fell to his as she gently pecked a kiss to his lips.

"Are you tired, babe? You've been packing all day for a three day trip. Just relax. I'll start a bath for you and you can take time to unwind." He said with love in his eyes.

That look made her feel instant pain, her face falling and him obviously taking notice. The guilt. The shame. And Christian could tell him, or anyone for that matter, and could ruin her life without any second thoughts.

"I'll get right to it, baby. Don't worry. You don't look so good." He stated, eyes sweeping her face once more before walking off.

"Why me..." she breathed out, blinking a single tear out of her eye.

She walked into their large bathroom, her eyes immediately focusing on the tub with light pink water and roses floating in it, a scent of essential oils warping around her nose.

"Baby, you've outdone yourself this time." She stated in awe.

James came up to her, gently pulling the ribbon of her silk pink robe, letting it open and fall off her body, like a gentle rain falling from the sky.

She stood there as he pressed his lips to her neck for a brief moment, his hands trailing down her side and squeezing her bare hips gently.

"Oh.." she breathed out, her arms trailing to the hem of his shirt, pulling it slightly.

He got the clue, her reached for the end of his t-shirt to pull it off over his head before she froze and pulled away.

"The water is gonna get cold." She muttered, looking down, not bothering to look at his eyes.

She stopped him. Because of guilt. Or maybe it was something else. Something she didn't dare to think about or admit.

"Come, princess. Let's go." He stated gently, taking her hand delicately and leading her to the stairs of the tub.

He helped her step on and knelt down to look at his fiancé now immersed in the pink water.

"You look so beautiful." He muttered under his breath.

But she heard it and blushed faintly.

"As are you." She replied, cupping the side of his face with her wet and pulling him in for a kiss.

"Have a good time, baby. I'll go make us some dinner and turn on a movie," he stated, a smile on his beautiful lips. "Also, your phone is on the towel stand. In case you wanted it."

"You're amazing, love you!" She called as he left the bathroom.

Love you. Because she couldn't say the full thing anymore.

She sighed as she picked up her phone, maybe she would watch a movie on Netflix to make her forget about everything that just happened

She'd fucked up. That was no understatement. But the King was the type of person to have his way, no matter what. And James was the type of person to not care what everyone else said, as long as he had who he wanted. And in this case, that was her.

She sighed.
