distractions

Lauren's finger lightly traced the tattoo that lined your forearm as she listened to Normani beside her. She nodded along with whatever Normani was saying, but her eyes stayed on your arm. She laughed and finally turned to say something back. You weren't picking up anything they were saying, too mesmerized with your girlfriend, watching her lips turn upwards in another small laugh as Normani spoke. Her smile got smaller, but a trace of it still present as she spoke again. Her hair swung around her shoulders as she turned back to you, her hand moving from your arm to your shoulder as her lips moved. She was saying something to you.

Oh.

"Huh?" You asked after a couple seconds of her looking at you expectantly. The girls laughed as she giggled, a smile instantly replacing your dazed expression.

"I said, do you want something from Whataburger? The girls and I are gonna stop for a quick bite," She explained.

"No, I'm good," You muttered as you pulled her in for a kiss, which she cut off with a giggle against your lips.

"What's with you today? You're so... distracted," She said softly, her hand moving up to caress the side of your neck.

"You're distracting," You whispered as you tried going in for another kiss before she pushed you away. You pouted and she just laughed.

"You're cute," She mocked your tone as she started to stand up. You smiled when she leaned down to peck your lips one last time before following her bandmates out the door.

Ally came back first, a white and orange striped bag and drink in her hands. She sat at the end of the couch in front of you, placing the drink on the small table beside her and quickly taking out her burger. She bit into it after she unwrapped it, almost moaning when she did.

"I take it you were hungry?" You laughed out sarcastically. She nodded furiously before taking another bite.

She swallowed and looked towards the door before turning back to you. "So, why are you so distracted today?"

You raised an eyebrow at her random question, "What? What do you mean?"

She chuckled before answering you, "Well, first of all, me and Dinah asked you like five times if you were hungry and you didn't hear anything until Lauren snapped you out of whatever trance you were in." She stopped talking and took another bite while you just looked at her questioningly. She quickly swallowed two more bites and rolled her eyes at your expression. "Second of all, you've been staring at Lauren like you'll never see her again!" She laughed and you knew your cheeks had a light blush to them by now.

"She's distracting!" You mimicked her tone and she just rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah," she muttered and it looked like she was about to speak again, but the rest of the girls piled into the bus talking amongst themselves.

Lauren walked up to you and took it upon herself to place herself directly on your lap. She smiled at you over her shoulder, her nose scrunched up and her teeth showing, before snuggling into you as she pulled her burger out of her bag. You smiled and wrapped your arms around her middle while nuzzling your nose into the spot where her neck and shoulder met. You placed a kiss there before kissing her cheek, making her giggle. She turned her head to face you and you quickly got lost in her eyes, your lips forming into a lazy smile.

"You make me so happy," You whispered, making her blush lightly. "You make me so, so happy. God, I-" You shook your head, cutting yourself off from saying those three little words, and pecked her lips before nuzzling back into her neck. You felt more than heard her release a breath before continuing to eat. You raised your head a little and caught Ally looking at you. She raised her eyebrow and her lips formed a smug smile as she made eye contact with you. You narrowed your own eyes at her before turning away from her.

"Ya'll are cute, but it has to stop 'cause im single and jealous," Dinah said tilting her drink towards you and Lauren before taking a sip of it. Lauren laughed at her, wiggling out of your grip to go throw her trash away.

She quickly slipped back into your lap, this time her side facing your front instead of her back. She have you a wide smile when she caught you staring up at her. You smiled back before leaning up to kiss her, mentally fist pumping the air when she didn't pull away. She brought one of her hands forward into your hair as the kiss deepened a little. You heard Dinah shout for you two to "Get a room, losers!" but you paid no mind to it, your tongue prodding at Lauren's bottom lip. She smiled into the kiss and pulled away instead of granting you any entrance. You smiled, taking in a deep breath as you stared up at your girlfriend.

"You are so beautiful," You whispered. Her cheeks flushed a bit as she smiled at you. She suddenly turned, raising her eyebrow to whoever or whatever she was looking at.

"(Y/N)!" Normani yelled making you snap your head in the direction Lauren was looking in.

"Yeah?"

"I said your name like three times, (y/n)," she rolled her eyes before handing your phone to you.

You turned it on to see mo type of notifications, furrowing your eyebrows. "Why'd you give me this?"

"It was on the couch over there with all our clothes and you were gonna freak out if you 'lost' it like last time," She reasoned as she scrolled through her own phone.

Lauren chuckled, looking back in your direction. "Are you alright, baby? You literally haven't been hearing what anyone says to you today," Lauren laughed out the last part.

You smiled up at her. " Yeah, I'm just..." so in love with you. "distracted," You reasoned before placing a light kiss on her lips.
