OOOOOOOOO. Another pov! Hope you like hearing from Foxlegs(aka firestar lol)
Foxlegs twisted in the air, landing squarely on his opponent's shoulders and knocking his attacker to the ground. His adversary released a quiet oof. He jumped nimbly to the side, readying himself for the next attack.
"I give up," Rustleleap grunted tiredly, sighing. "I wish Wolfstar didn't make us battle train everyday. It really is exhausting."
Foxlegs shifted his weight before flicking his tail tip. "You're right. I wish he didn't make us do this, but he's our leader so, technically, according to the warrior code, we have to obey his every command."
Wrinkling his nose he added, "Even if we don't like them. Ever since the battle, Wolfstar has been on edge and it makes sense that he would issue a command like that."
Rustleleap nodded. "Agreed," she mewed, flexing her claws, still slightly stained with ShadowClan blood.
Foxlegs shook his fur, clearing it of dust and leaf mulch, and stretched his legs. "I think we've trained enough," he mewed. "Let's go back to camp. Wolfstar will understand why we're a little bit early. Besides, it's about time that Duststorm and Sunfur should take their battle training shift." He purred, amused. "It's like they're afraid to battle train! They're avoiding their shift and pretending that they have to do something else when they are asked by someone to train."
Rustleleap dipped her head in agreement with him. "It makes sense that the younger warriors train first but the senior warriors have to do it too!"
Foxlegs was just about to reply when a harsh and acrid smell drifted up his nostrils. "What's that?" he hissed quietly. He motioned for Rustleleap to stay quiet before creeping forward, letting the faint sound of his paw-steps hitting the ground melt into the background while tracing the scent.
"Over here!" came Rustleleap's mew. She was standing by a clump of scraggly bushes where the strange, sharp odor was strongest.
As he padded closer, he couldn't help but wrinkle his nose in disgust at the odd scent that was making the shrubs reek with the harsh scent. He parted the leaves, revealing Twoleg food, that was rotting away on one of the bush's stump's. The slimy, pink flesh was ripped apart, as if half of it had been eaten and the other half left to rot untouched.
"Who left this here?" he wondered out loud.
The fleshy material stank of Twolegs and a fainter, more familiar fragrance. It was the same aroma that he had picked up before. Lashing his tail, Foxlegs followed the stink until it lead to ThunderClan's border with SkyClan. Rustleleap appeared out of the bracken and into the open where Foxlegs was standing. He started to pace agitatedly, frustrated with himself for losing the trail. Seeing his anger, Rustleleap bounded forward towards him to help find the whiff.
Almost immediately she lifted her head and yowled out, "It didn't go into SkyClan or ShadowClan territory. It when up this slope, out of clan territory!" She indicated the slope that stretched upward, out of explored territory with a nod.
Foxlegs raced upwards without replying to Rustleleap and almost immediately found the scent. He and Rustleleap traced the smell up and over the slope, and into a marshy forest. When they walked out into the open again, the sun was shining down harshly, turning Foxlegs hot after all of his training. As they came to the end of the cliff of which they were walking on, the stench grew stronger.
Ahead lay a field of Twoleg rubbish. Foxlegs heart hurt to look at it. All this land, destroyed to make a Twoleg dumping place.
I can still remember the stories that the elders told me when I was still a kit. The ones about the Twoleg dumping places. That they were a place where rats thrived on old, rotten Twoleg food and slept in bags of bags of junk. That they were a spot filled with raccoons and foxes and they were even filled with dead Monsters that normally roamed the Thunderpaths. This is worst then I thought it would be...
