Jackson, the teacher of Azreal's class, knocked on the Headmaster's office.

"Come in." Headmaster Adrian said. Jackson entered and saw the Headmaster doing some paperwork.

"Headmaster, I have some news from him." Jackson said. The Headmaster looked up.

"What happened?" The Headmaster asks.

"He was talking about a war that'll happen in a decade." The Headmaster got a bad feeling just from the words itself.

"What'd he say, exactly?" The Headmaster was concerned.

"The war between The Alliance of Man and The Demons of The Void. I asked him what he meant but only said that we'll find out if we survived." Jackson said. The Headmaster went into thought.

"A huge war is going to happen in a decade but the attacks will happen before that." Headmaster Adrian mumbled.

"Uh, Headmaster?"

"Hmm? What is it?"

"What should I do?"

"Ah, go help with the tournament." Jackson bowed and left. Headmaster Adrian started thinking to himself and got more worried as time passed.

"I'm going to go crazy." He thought to himself.

———————————————————-

Azreal walked through the academy. He heard many people talking about the tournament that was happening today.

"Annoying." He thought. He was walking towards the arena, Nova Forest. There was a platform on the edge of the forest where the Kings and Queens and teachers and the Headmaster sat.

He was, once again to the first one there, considering that the tournament starts in 6 hours. He sat in the corner and started to blend into the shadows, completely vanishing.

One by one, the Kings and Queens arrived. After 6 hours, the teachers arrived. Then the participants entered and stood in the outside of the forest.

They were all excited and that excitement was visible on their faces.

"Azreal's not here?" Brook, the last to arrive, asked everyone.

"I was here before everyone of you and I didn't see him, I didn't even feel his presence." Elijah claimed.

"You're right. I don't feel his presence either." Victoria said.

"Where is he?" Joshua asked.

"I have absolutely no idea. I don't feel his evil presence anywhere. And that's considering that I can sense demonic and evil magic." Victoria replied.

"That's because I'm neither evil or demonic." A voice was heard. They all looked around and saw no one.

"Where are you?" Eliza asked.

"Everywhere." His voice was heard from every direction. "And nowhere." This time, his voice was heard from inside their head.

"Enough, Azreal." The Headmaster was heard coming through a portal. Everyone got up from their seats and bowed and all the participants bowed as well.

The Headmaster stood at the front of row and started his speak.

"I thank everyone for coming here today. This tournament here will be a Battle Royale where each participant has a tag. For each tag you take away, you get 10 points. You need 150 to pass this test. If you don't die when you lose your tag, then you can still fight." The Headmaster started. "Now, if you don't have any fighting experience, then you should leave. You can die here and there won't be anything we can do about it. There will be 3 rounds. This is the first. The second is an elimination round where only 10 participants can pass. The last round...you get to choose a King or a Queen to fight. You win, you become a King or Queen." This motivated many of the participants. Being a King or Queen is the greatest privilege possible, with many benefits.

"Now, you should spread out, or stay here because the tournament starts in half an hour." With that, many people moved, while the more arrogant ones stayed. Azreal leaves the shadows and looks over the balcony. He saw Brandon, the thief leader, in the crowd that stayed. They shared eye contact.

"I'm coming for you!" He yelled while pointing.

"I'll be waiting." Murderous intent so strong, it manifested into physical being was emitted from Azreal.

Azreal sat back down, closed his eyes, and blended back into the shadows once more.

"The battle begins." Azreal says as everyone was frozen from the murderous intent.
