In an open field with no settlements in view, stood two men. One of them was an old man dressed in a white robe. The other was in a dark cloak with a black mask with horns protruding out. The old man was the Headmaster of Martial Academy, Headmaster Adrian, the other man was Azreal.
"Headmaster, why'd you call me out here?"
"You know why."
"Let me guess, for the crimes I committed in the academy?"
"Naturally." Headmaster Adrian took out his staff as he said that. He pointed the staff at Azreal.
"Pull out your weapon." Azreal showed his hands.
"These are my weapons." This irritated Headmaster Adrian.
"Don't underestimate me."
"Don't worry, I treat everyone the same." Azreal took his stance, which was having him palm point at his opponent. "You can control time, if I remember correctly."
"But you also know that I use that supportive and defensive techniques." The Headmaster moved, disappearing from view. Azreal somersaulted foward while putting one hand over the other and pointing it behind him.
"But being able to control time wouldn't help you much, so you use fire to attack instead." A fire pillar appeared where Azreal was just at. Azreal shot out an ice lance, freezing the fire pillar.
"You seem to know a lot about me, Azreal."
"Don't think you're special now, you're only one of many that I know."
"You are the King of Information after all." The fire turned ice pillar melted, shooting out a fire lance. "But that's all that you are." Azreal touched the fire lance with his hand, freezing it again, but this time, he turned and shot the now turned lance at Headmaster Adrian. Azreal landed a short while after.
"Actions speak louder than words, Headmaster. Shall we amp it up a little?" Adrian dodged the lance.
"Gladly." Adrian formed five fire lances and shot them at Azreal, but this time, Adrian sped up time around the lances, making them fly faster. Azreal dodged four of five easily. The fifth one grazed past his shoulder.
"Time magic sure is useful." Azreal formed four ice golems. Azreal sent the golems to attack Adrian, who used fire pillars to destroy them. Adrian disappeared once again, but this time, Azreal ducked, sensing something behind him. A fire blade cut across the area above Azreal.
"I remembered that even though you use fire, there are still some other elements you use." Azreal swiped his leg backwards, but Adrian dodged and formed another fire blade in his other hand.
"Or was I wrong?" Adrian slashed down towards Azreal, speeding up the blade and slowing down Azreal. Azreal retaliated by forming a ice spike to shoot up from the ground toward Adrian's heart.
Adrian slashed off Azreal's arm, splattering blood everywhere, while he turned so that the spike would pierce his arm.
"Tsk tsk tsk, Headmaster, you should always aim to kill." Azreal jumped back and Adrian did the same. Adrian was bleeding profusely, but he sealed it up with ice.
"So I was right. But unfortunately for you, I won't be killed that easily." Azreal's arm could visibly be seen regenerating. After a few seconds, his arm was back to normal, even the clothing was back.
"How?!"
"Lets just say I was cursed." Azreal formed a blade of ice in one hand and jumped towards the wounded Adrian. They clashed, but it could be seen that Azreal was pushing Adrian back. Azreal suddenly jumped back. Fire shot out of the ground towards Azreal. Azreal slashed at each fire pillar, freezing them.
