It feels as though I've been running for a long time. I stop for a while and that's when I notice a low rumble in the ground.
Not very long after I look up I see a herd of long leg and neck dinosaurs flocking right towards me.
They look panicked as though they are running from something. I look behind them and see nothing. Maybe I can catch one of them. They look very powerful and very fast. I don't think I can bring one down by myself and I don't want to risk injury. While pondering what to do I hear something loud and quick coming up behind me. I turn around to see a familiar face. It's the old T-Rex with whom I fought alongside. We made a great team! Even though I'm a little nervous I'm sort of happy to see her! This is what I need right now! Eating Echo's body will hold me over for a little bit but not much longer.
I stand there waiting for the old T-rex to stop. Her name is Rexy and she is something to behold. I saved her life and she mine. She helped me avenge my sisters. I chirp excitedly... but she isn't stopping. I back up slowly giving her more space to slow down her charge, but she just stares dead at me with menace and madness in her eyes. Oh hell. I run from her and look back only to see her jaws widening as she lets out a fierce bone chilling roar. She's hungry! She probably doesn't recognize me or doesn't care. Doesn't she realize we have a better chance at survival if we work together? Apparently her kind is not very smart. I think she will slow down until I see her picking up speed. Her legs are longer and she covers more ground. I try to Zigzag and end up tripping over my own legs. I've never had to evade
a larger creature like this in an open space where they can run full speed. I suddenly feel an equal amount of respect for her as I do fear. Without slowing, Rexy opens her jaws ready to end my life. Then I have no idea what happens. One minute I'm staring into the mouth of a monster and the next I'm rolling head over heels with another creature. How many things are trying to eat me right now?!
I roll to a stop and am ready to fight when the offender runs away. I give chase until we reach the forest. I poise for an attack when the attacker stops.
"You really going to kill your only remaining family?"
I stop and my jaws fall slack. Delta turns around and smiles at me.
"DELTa!!!!!" I scream with joy!
We hug and I can now feel leaves falling off her.
"What's this?" I ask laughing.
She laughs too and I scrape at them harder until my eyes open.
It's still nighttime and my claws are digging into the forest floor. It had all been a dream. The rex, Delta, a dream.
I lie down in defeat and depression. I can't go on like this.
