Chapter 70

A month to Nuaimat's baby being nine month, Nuaimat woke up in the middle of the night with severe pain in her abdomen, she was up in her wing alone, because she still hasn't got over what happen, thou they were slightly on talking terms and he still was doing all he can to please her,

He was always at home with her since when she took a leave from work thats a month  back,  "look you don't have to do this, i will be fine, just go to work and stop hovering over me, i will be fine" she once said as he was making tea for her,

"I do what i dim right for my wife and baby, even if you don't appreciate it" he said

"Yeah i don't appreciate it, can you go now" she said hopefully,

"No, take your tea, i will run your bath for you" he said

"It's just eight in the morning" she whinnied

"I will force you" he said and headed to her wing.

Another day she was on her bed, when he popped his head into the "lunch is ready" he said,

"Am not hungry" she said and looked away,

"Now" he ordered, she ignored him, he smirked and before she knew it he has swooped her in his arms and went out as she shouts random words.

So today when the pain woke her up,  ahe tried and climbed down from the bed and with difficulty she went out of the room, just to meet Zaid coming up to her wing to check on her like he does every night and not once not twice nor thrice,

"Baby What's wrong" he quickly reached her, "i....aching" she said with difficulty as he carried her in his hands and placed her on a nearby couch, "owkey calm down, calm down, you still have a month to go" he said as he dialled a number,

"Hello Doctor, it's Nuaimat she said her abdomen is aching"

"And stiff" Nuaimat said,

"She said and stiff............ "oh owkey, i will get back to you" with that he dropped the phone and said "now calm down baby, it's gonna be fine" as he stretches down her legs and gently placed both palms on the abdomen and begun to massage it gently but effectively

"W...ow" she said shocked at the quick effect and just when on of the babies kicked (yeah she is having twins and both crossed legs) ,

"Yeah babies, that is it, mummy is sorry, she may have slept on the wrong side" he said genially to the pregnancy as he massages the bare abdomen, Nuaimat couldn't help but chuckle, he smiled when he saw her chuckling, she then sighed,

"I was worried" she said,

"You need not to worry, i am around and i will always be with to you, i got you" he said looking at her in the eye, she nodded and sighed again,

They spent almost an hour like that and truth be told that was the first time he get to touch her pregnancy that way, and his was clearly enjoying the massage,

In the morning before they prayed, Nuaimat woke up to see her sleeping on her side on the couch and right beside the bulging belly was Zaid's sleeping head, with his hand on it, his knees on the floor, she chuckled and used her fingers and run it through his hair,

He lazily opened his eyes, "prayers" she said still running her fingers in his hair, he yawned and said "how are you feeling"

She smiled and said "great, you did well, Thank you" it was sincere,

"Wow you are welcome" he stood up and said "lets get back to the room and i will go to the mosque", she nodded and he carried in.

When he came back from the mosque, he went into the kitchen and made a cup of warm milk shake, with chips and omelet with cheese and a bit chilly, (Zaid has has become good in some quick meals for the past months)
