Will's POV
I didn't want to let Nico go in the fear that something else bad would happen and I would loose him. I yelled to the other wolves to follow me as I lead them through a dark narrow tunnel. The air was cold and gave me a shiver down my back but I didn't stop I kept leading them to safety... To there new home. When we finally reached the dead end to the tunnel I reached up and pushed a bored and pulling Nico and I up though the ground and into the open of our new home. My pack fallowed.
"Who's found crossed my territory?" Yelled a strong and old voice from the tree's
"Lord Lord Butakus its me Will! The pack has been attacked by Earthen wolves and we had to escape. My father will bring the rest of the wolves when he can!" an old man with a staff in his hand jumped down. His face was ful of age and his eyes had a white foggy film over them yet there was so much to see in them. He may had been the eldest wolf in our pack but he was one of the strongest and wisest! Trust me I knew.
"Then get the pack into the housings and I'll take the weak to be healed!" He yelled walking over and helping one of my pack members with a bloody lag to the infirmary. Nico and I sorted everyone into small huts that were either in the trees or at the foot of them. When we finally got everyone situated I lead Nico to were we would be staying. The Alpha's tree is were we would be, this particularly large tree sat in the middle of all the others and at the top of it sat our home. All the tree's were magical ever standing tree's of safety and were half the size of a redwood tree. When I got to ours I lead Nico in who was awestruck. "This is amazing!" he smiled and so it was... Well both his smile and the Alpha tree was amazing and while he couldn't take his eyes of everything in the house I couldn't keep my eyes of him. I noticed Nico yawned and I looked at the falling sun realizing that it was becoming bed time and then realizing how long we had been in the underground.
"Want to go to bed soon?" I asked the sleepy neko boy who stood in front of me.
"I'm fine." he mumbled.
"We're going to bed soon." I insisted only making Nico role his eyes. "But first lets eat. Nico's tail was wrapped around one of his small arms and his ears sat adorably a top his head. I graved his hand and lead him to the kitchen he sat down at the table while I went to look in the cupboards and fridge.
"Wouldn't all the food be old it seems as though no one has been here for a while." Nico asked me while I sat down with a metal container of water, dear meat and fruit.
"Magic!" I was my only reply. We ate in silence and when we finished Nico yawned, his eyes were droopy and though I knew he would never admit it he was obviously tired. "Come on kitten." I whispered picking him up bridal style and carrying him of to our bed. Once we got there I set him down and tucked him in crawling in after him a second later. Nico fell asleep rate when his head hit the pillow, but I couldn't fall asleep. At one point my hand hit Nico's arm and he felt stone cold so I pulled his sleeping body into the warmth of my chest while wrapping my arms around his small frame. I could see out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw a small smile on Nico's face when I did this jester but before I could check for sure he hid his face on my chest.
"Goodnight Nico." I whispered to him.
"Night Will." He answered sleepily before falling asleep in my arms making me smile.
"I love you Nico, and I promise I will help you save your pack. What ever it takes to save you my love." was the last thing I said to him before falling asleep myself. I know love is just a fancy word people through around now a days making it have almost no meaning but what I said was true. I may have only known Nico for a few days now but I already loved him and knew I would keep loving him more and more by everyday! I would hold up the world for him! I didn't want to let him go not now not ever but I knew by morning he would wake up and not want to be in my embrace anymore.
I was scared for my father. I didn't know were he was or if he was ok. So now I didn't only have to save Nico's people but my own, and my father. There will be no deaths. The only death I will allow is my own. I just hope I can save everyone I love though I know it sounds impossible I still have to try.
