The Blue Eyed Wolf's Power.

Chapter 40.

John's POV.

I wake to the smell of bacon. Mmmm bacon. My eyes open sleepily and I look around.

Amelia slept in the guest room. I sat up and yawned as I stretched. We didn't do much last night after we got back from the dinner.

We watched a movie before deciding to go to bed. I look at the clock and see it's only nine. I normally never get to sleep in because of training with my father.

It's always so early. I turn and throw the covers off before standing and walking to my dresser.

I pull out a outfit that consists of nice blue jeans and a red polo shirt. I quickly change before putting on my shoes.

I make my way to the bathroom and put on deodorant and brush my teeth before finally heading downstairs.

The second I'm in view I see that Amelia is cooking. I can't help, but to wonder as to how long she has been awake for.

She turns and smiles brightly at me. " Good morning John. Sleep well?"

I smile back. " Yes I did. I normally never sleep in. What about you?" I ask.

" I slept great. Got a early start around 5:30. " she said.

" Why so early?" I ask.

" It's just something that I'm used to. Being a rogue you had to be alert most of the time in case other rogue decided to be stupid and attack you while your sleeping. " she says.

" Dang, it must have been awful being a rogue. " I say.

" It was. Thankfully though, I don't have to be one anymore. " she says setting a plate of food down in front of me.

On the plate there were scrambled eggs, jelly toast, some grits and a few slices of bacon. My kind of breakfast.

" Smells amazing. Thank you. " I say.

She grins. " It's the least I could do. Besides, I like cooking. " she says.

" Good. I'm glad. " I say.

I wait until she's sitting with her food and the two of us start eating.

Just as I finished I got a mind link from Kurt. ' Good morning John. ' he said.

' Good morning Kurt. ' I reply.

' I'm about to go on a run around the pack borders. Want to join me? You can bring Amelia and she can stay and help Cassandra with a few things.' He says.

' Sure, I'll be right over. ' I say. We break the mind link.

" Kurt needs us at the pack house. I'm going on a run with him and you will be staying to help Cassandra with some stuff at the pack house. " I say.

She smiles. " Sounds like fun. "

The two of us leave the house a few minutes and start making our way to the pack house.

We soon walk in and there's Kurt and Cassandra talking to one of the cooks.

" Thank you so much for the lovely breakfast you made for us. " says Cassandra.

It was an older lady to the pack. " Of nonsense sweetie. It was my pleasure. " she turns to walk away before stopping at Kurt. " You have such a lovely mate. "

" Thank you. " says Kurt. The lady walked away.

They then turned to us. " Good, just in time. " says Kurt.

" Amelia. I'm about to go help the laundry workers fold the clean clothes. Care to join me?" Asks Cassandra.

" Sound amazing. Good way to get to know the pack members. " says Amelia.

The two then walk off leaving me with Kurt. " She's gonna be an amazing Luna. " I say.

" I know. I couldn't ask for a better mate. " says Kurt.

" Speaking of something like that. Since your currently taking your fathers position as Alpha while he's gone, should I call you Alpha Kurt?" I ask.

His eyes widen. " No no, not yet," he says with a laugh. " I not a full Alpha yet. Just keep calling me Kurt. "

I nod and smile. " Very well. " I say.

The two of us then head for the back doors. Once we make it out we walk down a long pathway that leads to the forest.

We walk into the forest and go to separate places before coming back after shifting.

Our clothes laying in a pile behind the trees. The two of us take of to run a lap around the packs border.

Kurt leading the way. It's weird. Since he's taken over for his father, I sense a lot more authority coming from him when I'm in his presence.

It's almost so strong I want to refer to him as Alpha, which is why I asked him that question.

It doesn't feel weird to think of calling him Alpha. The thought of it actually makes me smile. Kurt is going to be a great Alpha.

' How's Amelia doing?' He asks over mind link.

' She's adjusting to her new surroundings. She's liking it so far. ' I reply.

' Good. If you two need anything, let me know and I'll help you. ' says Kurt.

' Thank you. I'll keep that in mind. ' I say.

We run in silence for a while before spotting something. Kurt took off running faster. I followed his lead.

It was a wolf, perhaps a rogue. Kurt tackled it and they rolled. Both snarling and snapping at the others. Finally Kurt bit the skin at the back of the neck and pressed the wolf down to the ground hard.

The wolf yelped and fought. ' Your not a rogue. Who sent you!! ' yelled Kurt into the mind of the wolf.

Our mind link was open as well. Kurt's sense of authority increased a lot and the other wolf shrunk down as best as it could.

' WHO SENT YOU!! ' yelled Kurt. His wolf snarling.

' Alpha Conan. ' cried that wolf.

' Why did he send you!' He snarled.

' To spy on your pack. Find weaknesses and all.' He said in what was almost a whimper.

' Well you go back and tell Alpha Conan it won't be that easy to spy on us anymore and if any wolf, rogue or pack member comes onto my pack grounds again without my say so. Their as good as dead. Understood!! ' snarled Kurt.

' Yes, I understand. ' cried the wolf.

Kurt released the wolf. ' LEAVE NOW!! ' he yelled.

The wolf yelped and took off running and left the pack grounds. Kurt turned to me. His Alpha power was so strong then I instinctively bowed my head in respect.

' No need to do that John. Let's finish this round then get back to the pack house. I'm starting a 24 hour guard around the borders. No one gets in and no one gets out without my knowledge. ' says Kurt.

I lift my head. The two of us then take off back to the pack house after we finished the round.
