Amber's POV.

Tasha, Cassandra, mom and I are working in the kitchen making dinner.

Cassandra was more then happy to help. She said she hasn't cooked in a long time and wanted to start again.

So I happily accepted the offered help.

Mom set the table while Cassandra while I cooked the food. Tasha got what we needed and put it up once we were done with it.

I thanked them for the help. It would have taken much longer to cook this meal by myself or if it was just mom and I.

Soon enough. Just as the food was nearly done the doors opened.

My dad walked in with John, and Connor.

" Tasha, Cassandra. Kurt and Clayton are outside waiting for you. Alpha George has had a big meal made for you all." Says my father.

Tasha hugged me goodbye, followed by Cassandra.

They said bye and left. I then saw Connor. He looked so worn out.

The poor thing probably had the hardest training ever.

He walked forward and I met him in a hug. " So, how was your first day of training?" I ask.

" Hard, but also fun." He says.

I smile at him. " Well I'm glad you had fun today." I say.

I went back to help mom finish the food. Connor sat to watch.

" What?" I ask.

" I still love to watch you cook." Says Connor.

I smile. Once were done cooking we get the food to the table and call the boys.

We finally sit down to eat. " So how did the training go, I mean like what exactly did you do?" I ask.

" It's kinda hard to explain." Says Connor.

" How about we just say we wore the crap out of him with basic training. We had him train as human first." Says John.

I chuckle. " If it's that hard to train as human. Imagine what it would be like when you train in wolf form." I say.

Connor groans. " I don't want to think about that yet. " says Connor.

We all laugh. " Poor thing." Says my mom.

Connor smiled. " Any news about Alpha Conan?" I ask.

" No news. Alpha George is trying to get in contact with him. He wants to see if we can talk Alpha Conan into meeting with us to try and settle this to where Connor doesn't have to go to his father and lives don't have to be lost in a pack war. " says my father.

" If he can't get in touch with him over the phone, he will send a group of us to go onto his territory and talk to him. " says John.

" If that happens, Connor, Cassandra and Clayton can not go at all. Connor wouldn't go anyway and we can't risk the other two. " says John.

" John is right. It may just be John, Tasha's father and myself along with a few guards for extra protection. " says my father.

" It may turn out to be us having to go talk him. Kurt would come, but he's got to stay to help with Connors training." Says John.

We all nod. Soon after we all eat. The others go to watch tv.

Connor and I decided to go for a walk. We walked down the street.

Connor to my hand. I looked at him. In what light is left I could still see the lines from the chains on his face and body.

" I know you can still see them. They are fading faster and faster though." Says Connor with a smile.

I chuckle. " Your still good looking to me either way." I say.

He laughed. " Well your beautiful." He says kissing me.

I smile at him and we keep walking. As we walked by a house we heard music blasting.

We took a look at the windows to see some people in there. Teens.

" They must be throwing a little get together. After all that's happened, I'm glad there are still people that are able to have fun." I say.

" Same." Says Connor.

Suddenly the door opened and a girl ran out.

She held two drinks. " Hey, we saw you two walking by and thought you might like a drink. Don't worry it's Pepsi. " says the girl handing us the cups.

We laugh. " Thank you. That's very thoughtful." Says Connor.

She grinned and ran back inside. Connor looked at me.

We both then just shrugged and walked on after taking a sip of our drink.

" Man I can't tell you the last time I had Pepsi. " says Connor.

I smiled at him. " Good isn't it?" I say.

He looks at me. " Do you even need to ask that? Of course it is!" He says.

I laugh. We continue walking. We pass the pack house and look at the windows.

We can see a few shadows moving around. " Today's been good. " I say.

He smiles at me. " Yes it has been." He says.

I drag Connor around the pack house and to a swing set in a huge playground.

" Isn't this for kids?" Says Connor.

" Don't argue. Just enjoy. I mean, when was the last time you got to swing. It's fun. I used to come here all the time with Tasha." I say.

He laughs and gets in the swing next to me.

The two of us start swinging. It's a very big swing set for the pack children.

A lot of the pack members wanted to build something that the kids could enjoy.

They wouldn't want the kids to be bored completely bored during a pack get together. Sometimes we have little cookouts outside.

I look at Connor to see he's looking at me. I laugh. " Wanna see who can swing the highest?" I say.

He laugh. " Your on." He says.

We start swinging higher and higher. I made it the highest. " Ha ha. I win." I say.

" You only won cause your smaller." He says.

" Oh excuses, excuses. " I say. He laughs causing me to laugh as well.

Soon we both jump off and land on our feet. We then head back for the house.

Connor needs to rest up before training tomorrow. Thankfully, today ended great.
