Sunlight from the setting sun gleamed in your eyes. You were staring at it, watching it slowly descend behind the mountains and valleys that seemed so far away. Did it hurt your eyes? Yes, so you eventually looked away and blinked a few times to make sure you weren't blind.
You weren't an idiot, but you sometimes became one when something beautiful came into view.
The orange star continued falling when Masamune decided to join you in watching it, standing beside you with his arms crossed. "Pretty, isn't it?" he asked.
"Yeah," you said. Your eyes had moved back to the sun. "Very pretty."
You tore your eyes once again, instead looking at Masamune. "What are you doing here?" you asked, your brows furrowed, as he was missing earlier. Probably drinking again, you thought.
"I just wanted to see what you were up to," he said, looking at you as well. "Mhm." you hummed sarcastically, as you now knew why he was here. "They kicked you out again, didn't they?"
Masamune had recently begun drinking a little too much sake, or hoarding a few servings for himself. As he should, he was shooed out by his soldiers, leaving him slightly cranky and tipsy.
"Well..." he eventually spoke up, trying to find an excuse. "Alright, whatever. They kicked me out again. Thought you could cheer me up." He smiled at you, which you replied to with a 'hmph.'
You looked to the sky again, where the orange had decreased considerably and was replaced with purples and dark blues. Masamune made his own blue known to you, blocking your vision of the other colors. He stood in front of you with a defiant look upon his face.
A bored expression was on yours, which had hints of annoyance included. "What?" you asked.
"What, what?" Your eyebrow twitched and you grazed your hand along the tall grass at your side. He didn't notice, which gave you a ridiculous plan. You sighed, gaining his complete attention, while continuing to grab the grass and twist it in your hold. With its position in your hand, you easily pulled it from the Earth and held it firmly.
When you didn't say anything, the male in front of you grew concerned. "Y/n? What's wrong?"
You hadn't noticed yourself, but a look of concentration had appeared while you were acquiring your grass weapon. Masamune searched for an answer with his eye as it gazed at you.
"Oh," you said. "I'm fine." Doubt was written all over him. "Really? I don't think you're fine."
"Hmm," you hummed, hiding the stalk of grass behind your arm as you faced him. "Maybe, but I will be fine in a moment." He looked at you, confused, as you raised your weapon. He looked at that even more confused.
When you thought the timing was right, which was when he opened his mouth to ask you about your behavior and health, you smacked him across the face with the grass. Which didn't hurt him, since it was grass, but it didn't taste good.
After he realized you'd made a hit-and-run, as you'd slapped him with itchy grass and ran, he chased after you, determined to get payback.
"Get back here!" he shouted, spitting bits of green and yellow from his mouth afterward.
You giggled like a child as you ran from him, smiling like the fool you were when you saw something amazing. He was grinning, too, chuckling once he got closer.
While you two ran circles in the grass, the sun continued to set until the sky was fully dark and speckled with stars. The movement in the plants summoned fire-flies into movement, spurring with life into the air.
