Chapter Ten (A Talk With Tate)

Inuyasha's P.O.V
As I walked into the kitchen I thought to myself.
" What were they doing when I was sleeping and what did Tate see?"
Tate: Mind if I help you?
Inu: I don't mind. Is... is Ghost with them?
Tate: Ya. There getting board game. And why do you want to know?
He said sarcastically.
Inu: I just want someone with them!
Tate: You're so overprotective for her. Why can't you just let her get close with him?
Inu: Because last time she got that close to guy.....he shattered her into a million pieces.
And the sad part was that he didn't care what he did to her. Neko didn't leave the house unless she had to go to school.
My mom told her to go and get some fresh air at the park. She didn't come back until dark fell. She would go there at the same time every day. And I noticed how happy she was, I thought that since she went to a beautiful park that would make her feel better. But now I think she was going there to see him.
Tate: I didn't know that someone shattered her. And it is possible that she meant him there. And one more thing.
Inu: Yeah?
Tate: Who was the boy that shattered her?
Inu: His name was....Zane.
Tate: Was he a werewolf?
Inu: Yeah. She kind of hated werewolves for quite some time.
Tate: That's why she was a little....disgusted by me.
Inu: But after getting to know you better she forgot about what he did to her, and she wouldn't shut up about "how you're ears were so fluffy"
Tate: Right. Nekoette's reaction was funny.
She was like " OMG! There so soft and fluffy!"
Inuyasha and Tate where now laughing there butts off, until Neko walked in.
Neko: So you boys done with making fun of me. Because I kind a want to eat and play a game with you two.
Tate: We're done for now. What game are we going to be playing?
Neko: Me and Blaze decided to play Mario Cart. Because GHOST thinks he can beet me in every video game!!!
She said while making her last sentence loud enough for Ghost it hear.
Time skip
Neko: Get out of my way Inuyasha!
Inu: Well Tate and Ghost are shoving me into every car!
Tate: You started it!
Ghost: I'm gonna win!
After the round was over Nekoette stopped to cool off a bit. She took our plates and went to the kitchen.
Me, Ghost, and Tate started to play another round, but Blaze didn't want to play.
Blaze's P.O.V
As the boys started another round, I took my chance to be alone with Neko. Even if it's not for a long time, I just missed her while I was gone. And I want to be close with her again.
Neko: Hey Blaze!
Blaze: Hey! What're you doing?
She was trying to reach for something?
Blaze: Do you want me to help?
Neko: No I got it.
She said while climbing up onto the counter.
Neko: I just need to....(started to fall off the counter and yelled a bit)
I ran over to her, caching her before she hit the ground. I was now holding her in my arms, her legs were wrapped above my hips, and her arms around my neck.
I could tell that she was a little shaken up, because she was trembling a bit.
Blaze: A... Are you ok Nekoette?!?
Neko: I...I'm f..fine.
I could smell the scent of blood. But were is it coming from?
I sat Nekoette down on the counter, hoping that her brother wouldn't walk into see this.
I looked at my hand that had blood on it, and sniffed it.
Blaze: Nekoette you're bleeding.
Neko: I...I know.
I noticed something dripping onto the floor in the corner of my eye. It was coming from Nekoette.
The blood was running down her arm and onto the floor.
Blaze: What happened?!?
Neko: There was a knife next to me, and when I fell I cut myself.
Blaze: Let's go to bathroom to clean you up.
Neko nodded her head in agreement.
I picked her up and headed up stairs. When we past the other boys they were past out.
It must have been all the anger they had inside to make them pass out.
I entered one of the big bathrooms and sat her on the floor.
(Warning if you don't do good with blood and other things like that don't read this part. This scene might be a little gross, so I'm just warning you)
Blaze: So how do you want me to clean your wound?
I said while crouching down.
Neko: What do you mean? Are there two ways to clean a wound?
Blaze: Well yes. For werewolves at least. There's the human way witch is, using a first aide kit. And then there's the werewolf way. If you are part of his or hers family or dating that person, they will lick the wound and bandage it. Once it's clean of course.
Neko: Witch way do you want to clean it?
Blaze: I would like to do it the werewolf way.
When I said that a light blush appeared on our faces.
Neko: Ok then we'll do it that way.
I looked at her and nodded. I took ahold of her arm that had the cut, and I looked at it.
Blaze: It might feel weird at first.
Neko: Its fine.
Blaze: Ready?
She looked at me and nodded yes.
When I started to clean it her arm was tense, but she slowly rested her arm.
For some reason when I taste someone's blood, I know what they feel towards me.
When I tasted her blood I instantly blushed, once I finished I got a bandage and wrapped it around her arm, we sat there just staring at each other in silence.

I decided to sit down in front of her, instead of crouching.
She got on her knees and crawled towards me, I didn't know what she was doing so I sat there very still.
She was on her knees in between my legs and looking at me, then I felt her start to hug me. I hugged her back almost instantly.
Neko: Can you promise me something?
She said while trying to keep back the tears.
Blaze: What do you want me to promise?
Neko: I want you to promise, to never leave me. To never hurt me.
At this point she was sobbing quietly.
Blaze: I will never leave you or hurt you.
After I said that she positioned herself to where her butt was between my legs and her legs were on top of one of mine. She leaned on my chest and closed her eyes. I leaned on the wall that was directly in behind us.
It's been at least four hours since we were like this, until someone opened the closed door.
Tate's P.O.V
I woke up to me sliding off the couch.
Tate: Well I could just leave them, but I'm too nice to do that. Ugh they owe me ice cream for sure.
I carried them to Inuyasha's bed and decided to go to the bathroom before I go to bed.
Tate: Where's Nekoette and Blaze? They better not be doing anything stupid.
I walked into the bathroom to see Blaze holding Nekoette.
Tate: Blaze ( sigh) we need to talk.
He nodded ok and got up.
He got up so smoothly that Nekoette didn't even flinch in her sleep. He placed Neko in bed watching her curl up and putting a blanket on her.
Tate: Let's talk downstairs.
Blaze: Ok.
Tate: I know you like her Blaze.
Blaze: Well yeah she's my best friend.
Tate: Not that way. I mean like like her.
Blaze: ???
Tate: As in love. You love her.
Blaze: No I don't.
Tate: Yes you do. I see the way you look at her Blaze.
Blaze: That means nothing.
Tate: I have ears Blaze. I heard you say that you loved her when she was sleeping.
He looked down towards his feet.
Blaze: You know...she hurt herself when you guys were sleeping.
Tate: what do you mean hurt?
Blaze: She cut herself by accident.
Tate: Did you clean it?!?
Blaze: Yeah. But she wanted me to do it the werewolf way.
Tate: But you two aren't even dating.
Blaze: I know. But when I taste other people's blood I know how they feel about me. And I don't know how I can do that?
Tate: What does she feel towards you?
Blaze: She loves me. She doesn't know how to express it. And she doesn't know that love her, so that makes her afraid of feeling.
Tate: Just don't sharer her heart ok.
Blaze: Ok.
Tate: Let's go to bed.
He shook his head yes.
Blaze slept with Nekoette and I slept with the other boys in the bed.
