Damien's Pov
Everything surrounding me froze in time. The air was sucked out of my system, comprehending of what happened just days ago but what felt like a decade. The nerves inside me couldn't stop racing with something I was still not familiar yet.
The amount of guilt I have indescribable.
It's been precisely six days after the incident with Rose. Though it was her stitches that came undone, the insides of her muscles did not heal properly causing the muscle to rip as Rose walked, which also, lead to her bleeding out.
Here I am still with her, watching as her chest rises and falls in sync with her soft breathing. But we aren't in the emergency room anymore. After what had happened, we transferred Rose back to her house and into her bedroom with all the pessary needs that Ben insisted on having. Again, I'm holding her slightly cold hand but I'm waiting for some people.
My eyes closed, recalling the memory if it was the right decision or wrong.
I watched as my tesoro went limp on the bed. Ben had retracted the syringe that was fill with sedative to calm down Rose's outburst. "From the look of the amount of blood she lost, again, she'll be unconscious for a while but not for long as she's already healing" Ben said checking her vitals.
I watched as the last of my men retreated. You wouldn't believe how many doctor and nurses we have here, the expansion of my gang has risen if I say so myself.
My mind goes back to the day I tried to forget. But then I remembered something that I had forgotten. "Ben, I want to transport her to her house," Ben looked startled at first "I don't want the risk of her finding out the truth any time soon".
Ben nodded his head, understanding what I've said. If Rose finds out, it will not only cause problems but danger towards her and anyone she loves. I should know.
"Alright then sir, we'll have her moved in a couple of hours. I'll be informing Mr. Zareen". Placing the folder back, Ben turned around and walked out "Wait".
"Yes sir?" His head popped out of the door, "Contact Marcus and his mother, I want to see what drove Rose to suicide".
"Are you sure, sir? The type of work Marcus does can leave serious damage to the brain".
My eyes closed, letting my hand slip out of Rose's and rubbed my faced, a tiring sigh came out. This has been bugging me ever since I came back. I want to know not only what happened on that night but also the whole time I wasn't here. "Yes, I'm sure".
"But sir, wouldn't this be violating her privacy - "
"I don't care! I want to know!" I yelled "I want them at the house as soon as possible, end of discussion".
My attention turned back to the beauty before me as I heard Ben mumbled something under his breath, closing the door.
Was this the right choice?
Caden has been bugging us for a month now, demanding to see his 'best friend'. I'll never trust that bastard for the life of me but secretly am grateful of that stunt he pulled off of trying to save Rose. But I already that was an act. He'll never change.
Now that we're back at home and Rose's condition has been getting better, I've been going back to school. Mainly for Rose's sake and Liz, the girl just won't understand privacy. Every now and then I would climb through the window keeping her company, I would stay back with mamma for dinner and then come over and sleep on the mattress beside her bed.
