Remember Summer

Chapter 10

I could feel the waves taking the sand out of my toes.

My summer was going perfectly. Trips to the beach. Trips to the spa. Trips to the mall!

I got a postcard to send to David.

Then i wrote a long message on it.

David,

Hawaii is super fun. Today is my Last day.(August 10) But Im going to Brasil next summer. I dont know if its official yet. Im pretty sure I am going to Brasil. Do you look any different? I havent seen you in years! I do. I grew 4 inches. My hair is past my butt now! Haha, anyway. please write me back!!! Do you hate me or something??

I wasnt in the mood for putting "love". I mean we are not dating anyway....

Then I looked above myself, and I saw...

my dad.

"Umm dad. You're off work early. Waaay early. I never see you." I said surprised.

I saw my dad look at the letter.

"I'll put it the post office." He offered.

"cool, thanks."

Then hed stuffed the letter in his messanger bag.

I dug my fingers in the sand. Then I thought about my life since the 8th grade.

Everything has been moving so fast. Then ill be able to-

"Come on I have a surprise for you princess."

Whenever my dad says princess, It has to be good.

I slipped on my purple lace cover up, grabbed my beach towel, and followed him.

......

Then he led me into this garage. And I saw.....

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEE! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK!"  I yelled.

"Im going to send it off to Texas for now."

"Just a couple more months! Til I can drive, Of course."
