"Don't you tell me what you think that I can be.
I'm the one at the sail, I'm the master of my sea.
The master of my sea."
Believer; Imagine Dragons-
Shanghai International Circuit, Shanghai, China, April 2017
"Wake up sleeping beauty," Betty, Lance's PR manager nudged my shoulder to wake me up. I couldn't get to know her before China because she was ill, and Lance had a different PR as an understudy. But as soon as I saw Betty Hopkins, I knew that I'm going to love that woman. She rarely shuts up her mouth, which can be annoying for someone, but I don't mind it at all. We always have so much to discuss, we never have a dull moment in our conversations. She is incredibly beautiful, she has everything she should have. Who wouldn't want to have her stunning long blond hair, beautiful blue eyes, and perfect curves? If I was a man, I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about Betty Hopkins. Guys from the team always pay a lot of attention to her, turning their heads every time she walks around them. The only thing that is spoiling her beauty is her love for extravagant make-up. Luckily, she doesn't wear it too much during race weekends but you can see her wearing blue and yellow eyeshadows with black lipsticks in the factory very often.
"C'mon Deschamps, we are already here," Another thing I forgot to mention is that I actually have a family member on the team. No, that was definitely not the reason why I got the job because I had no idea about it. But then I found out that one of Felipe's mechanics is called Joey Deschamps. That obviously caught my attention. Later, my father told me that he actually has a sister that is living in Australia. They haven't seen each other in fifteen years, not because of the distance, but also because they have some kind of feud going on between them. He didn't want to tell me why they don't talk to each other anymore, and I decided not to dig deeper. But Mrs. Emily Deschamps has a son called Joey. And he is the same Joey who is working for Williams. We probably met before but we must have been little because I don't remember it, I don't even remember how aunt Emily looks like. Joey keeps saying that he actually remembers playing with his cousins Alexandrina and Albert on the beach, but I don't believe him. Nonetheless, this shocking finding put us together, and we became inseparable.
"Go to hell," I muttered when he took my pillow, making me finally open my eyes. I looked out of the window and saw a foggy Shanghai, which didn't help me light up my bad mood.
"But I don't want to go," I whined and leaned into my seat, closing my eyes again, "I want to stay here. Forever."
"Don't act like a kiddo, everybody is waiting for us," I opened my eyes again to see only Joey being in the plane, his arms crossed over his chest. Even Betty left me.
"Alright," I sighed and reluctantly stood up. Joey was watching me packing my things with an annoyed expression, "can you stop looking at me like you want to murder me?"
"The whole team is waiting for you. Flight attendants would love to clean the plane but they can't because you are still here. Do you expect me to smile at you or what?"
