Just take care of her

Anna's POV

I guess I might feel a little guilty for how I handled things. He didn't really deserve the things I've said but, that does not mean I'm going to let him know. Just because I'm not hostile doesn't mean I'm not going to be wary. Will I let Kyle or Alex know? Not really. Will I still be examining his every move? Yes. Absolutely. I can't help it ok? I need to make sure he won't hurt Alex. I just got her, I can't lose her. In the bright side of things, she told me she loves me and that is really unfathomable to me. However, I do understand it's possible since I love her too.

Caio just came to get her for a date. She not wearing a dress or anything they both look comfy and like themselves. I like that, how they don't pretend to be someone else around each other. "I promise she'll be back before 11 Anna." He says in a polite tone wearing a bright smile. "Just take care of her, please?" I say as I watch her go into the car. He nods his head respectfully. I know he's a good boy, I can see it but I have this feeling I will never think anyone is good enough for her, no one, I'm not good enough as guardian, he's not good enough boyfriend. She deserves the best. I hope he makes her happy.

Jesus how dramatic am I! She's just gone on a date with her boyfriend and here I am doubting myself and her boyfriend. I'm sure everything will be fine. Right?

Alex's POV

We went to the movies and laughed through the movie. He didn't have to pretend when he wanted to place his arm around me he just did it. That's what I love most about our relationship, how honest we are with each other. When the movie is over we take a walk back to Anna's house since it isn't too far away and we can take our time. "You know I have to tell you something." He says his smile suddenly vanishing. "What is it, babe?" I ask a little scared of what he might say. "I.." He nervously stuffs his hands into his front pockets. "I lied to you about not having seen anyone during the time we were apart." He says looking down. I just stare at him with an unknowing look on my face. "You what?" I ask raising my voice watching as he physically cringes at my tone.

"I didn't want to tell you because I knew you would react this way. It was just one girl. She was nice but... she wasn't you. I tried to forget you but, I couldn't." He says his voice soft and hurting. "But... why would you not tell me?" I ask looking down trying my best to not let my voice crack obviously failing. I wouldn't be hurt or mad at him if he had told me before, I just don't see why he would hide that from me. "I just... I didn't want you to look back in anger. I wanted to start again with you and I just didn't want to worry you about her." He mumbles under his breath. "What was her name?" I ask softly. "It doesn't ma.." I cut him off. "What was her fucking name Caio!?" I scream at him and he backs down. "Victoria." He whispers. "We were together for about a month. It had been 5 months since you had been gone. She just caught my eye, we talked, went out on a date. Dated for a few weeks but, as you can see it didn't work out because all I could think about when I looked at her was you!" He explains.

"I needed to tell you because I hate hiding things from you. I just want to be truthful and move on." He says trying to take a step towards me. I push him away. "Too late for that." I say harshly walking towards Anna's house. I walk fast and he tries to catch up with me screaming out "Alex!" or "Come on Alex! I trying here!" I know I sound like a bitch but, it hurt me that he felt the need to hid this from me. "Fuck off Caio!" I say as I get home. I run inside and Anna instantly gets up from the couch. "You were supposed to be home later, what..." I cut her off. "I don't want to talk about it." I look down at my feet running up the stairs. I can hear Caio screaming my name from the front door however, I couldn't care less right now.

Anna's POV

"Alex!!" I hear Caio scream from outside as Alex runs upstairs. He wears a desperate look on his face as he runs up the steps to the house in complete craziness. "Goddam teens." I mutter to myself "Alex come on!" He screams again. "Hey, you!" I say stopping him from screaming. "Come in." He walks in quickly trying to get to the stairs. I run up to him before he can take another step. "You stay right there." I say pointing at the couch. "I don't know what happened but I know she's upset. So you fucking stay there got it?" Tell him firmly. He nods his head and walks to the couch mumbling an "I'm sorry." I shake my head at this. 'What the fuck is happening?' I think to myself before going to look for her.

I walk straight to her room where the door is open. She is laying on her bed looking the other way. I knock on the door. "Hey A. There's a very desperate boy downstairs." I say. She softly chuckles. "Yeah let him be like that." She says burying her head into a pillow. I slowly make my way into the room shutting the door. I walk closer to her bed just to see her head buried in her hands. I slowly pull the covers up and sneak into her bed. "You know your bed is better than mine. I should have known that since it was me that pi..." She cuts me off. "Anna, could you please shut up?" She asks smiling at me. I laugh at her. "Sure A." I extend my arms in a welcoming motion as if saying 'come here' to my surprise she accepts my hug.

"He is such as idiot sometimes." She whispers under her breath. "Everyone is a little bit of an idiot sometimes." I tell her in a calm voice. She looks at me alarmed. "Who are you and what have you done to Anna Kendrick?!" I laugh at her. "Just tell me what happened." I say pulling her back on my shoulder where she lays and tells me the entire story. "So what do you think?" She asks closing her eyes. "I think he was stupid to not tell you before. However, I also think he is being honest with you, which is a lot more than you can expect from a normal man." I say and she nods. "I also think that maybe someone is a little bit... How do I put this in words? Jealous, that's the word." I say and she straightens up saying. "I'm not jealous... What? I don't do jealous! Pft! Just because he was with another girl and other's lips have touched his lips and...." She just cuts herself off. "You sound an awful lot like me sometimes." I mutter under my breath.

"Your right aren't you?" She asks sighing looking down. "I don't know. Am I?" I ask smiling. "Maybe just a little bit." She says smiling looking down. "More like a lot!" I say loudly making her laugh and hit my arm playfully. She just looks at me. "There is a very desperate boy downstairs that might need some calming down." I say looking at the door for a second. "Do I have too?" She whines. "You don't but, If I were you..." I say biting my lip. "I would." I say not believing it myself. "Again. Who fucking are you and what have you done to Anna Kendrick!" She screams at me. "Just go talk to your boyfriend." She looks at me weirdly and walks off downstairs. "Gotta let her go. She deserves to be happy and she can have him and still care about me." I whisper before getting out of her room myself. Going downstairs to see an incessant stare down going on. "Ohh yikes gotta go. Gotta meet Brit!" I say getting out of the house without a second thought. 'She knows what she's doing. She can handle him' I think before getting out of the house. 'I gotta trust her.' I tell myself before pulling out of my house and going straight to Brittany's.

Alex's POV

I got downstairs and all I can do is look at him. We just stare at each other. Anna comes down the stairs and says. "Ohh yikes gotta go. Gotta meet Brit!" I almost break my stare contest with Caio to laugh at her but I control myself. We stare at each other until I can't stand looking into his sad eyes anymore. "Why didn't you tell me before?" I ask quietly not breaking the stare. "I already told it's because..." I cut him off again. "Bullshit! Tell me the real reason!" I scream at him. "I... I didn't want to lose my chance with you. I knew you would react like this. I just wanted to get you back and I knew it would be hard if you were reacting this way." He says looking straight at me. The way he looked at me, I knew he wasn't lying. Something about how he looked at me made my stomach flutter.

"Please believe me when I tell you that I love you." He says before taking a pause. "Victoria might have been in my life but, you are back now and when I'm with you I can't even remember her name because you know what? She doesn't fucking matter anymore. You do! You are the one I want." He breaths out before taking another step closer to me, our faces only inches away from each other. "Please. I'm sorry for not telling you." He says his breath hitting my lips. "I love you." He breaths out before placing one of his hands on my waist and the other on my hip. One of my arms snakes up to his neck pulling him down before the other slithers towards his back pulling him closer to me until our lips touch.

We share a soft kiss before breaking off. "I'm sorry too." I say looking down at my feet biting my lower lip. "I love you." I say before staring into his eyes again just to see a look I haven't seen in a long time. I pull him into me a lot more aggressively our lips battling each other. Slowly we make our way into my bedroom... I guess you can figure out what happened...
