'You woke up' a soft voice spoke.
I was sitting on an old sofa covered in many thick, coarse blankets that smelled like dust. The whole room was similar to my grandma's: the walls were covered in family pictures, all the furniture was old and heavy and a little "antique" TV was put on a table in on of the corners of the room. The air smelled like burnt candles, reminding me of my aunt's candle shop.'Where are we?' I asked as I tried to figure out who I was talking to.
'We're in Sophia's hideout. You've been sleeping here for some days.' Carter's curly hair was more messier than I had ever seen it. His eyes looked more tired than usually. He suddenly looked away.
'Come on, tell me what happened' I asked, grabbing his hands. They were cold and dry.
'You've been sleeping for days. Some of us thought you not going to get up anymore...and...I was worried for you'
'It's ok' I said, leaning on his shoulder 'I'm here now'.

Dear "Camp Half-Blood" readers
Hi! Saying this is really hard for me, trust me, but I have to do it. I'm really sorry.
Four months ago I was listening to my favorite writing song, Oui - Jeremih. Suddenly, a thought crossed my mind. I had plenty of time I was wasting on the internet and I really wanted to do something productive in those last two weeks of vacation. So I decided to write a story. A fan fiction, to be more accurate.
I didn't actually have any high expectactions. My english was pretty bad back than, and so did my writing style. But writing was my passion and I enjoyed it more than everything else. So I started creating my story. Characters, places... I loved every moment of doing that.
Fast-Forward to one week after publishing it. I had already gained over 30 new followers and 500 reads. My life had just become the life I had always dreamed about. I was sooooo happy omg! It was just...amazing! ❤️And I would like to thank YOU guys for making that happen, I really apreciate this❤️
School started two weeks later. I had hitten 1k reads and all I was focusing on was my story. But I was allocating it to much time, which lead to my grades sinking. So, when I had realised this, I started working harder in school and writing less. And that's why I sometimes went weeks witouth posting anything.
October and November were pretty bad months for me. I had lots of tests to study for, which ment I didn't have any time to continue my CHB fanfic. But I refused not posting anything and the positive comments made me want to write more. So most of nights I'd go to sleep at 2am or 3am because I wrote. And wrote. And wrote, until I literally fell asleep with my phone in my hands. This restless nights were horrible, because all day I was very tired and couldn't concentrate in school. One day I even fell asleep in the middle of my history class, and...I'm at a pretty strict school, so I didn't turn out well.
Today, the 1st of december, I took a decision. Yes, I'm aware it may change my life. Yes, I'm aware I'll probably regret it. But it's for the best.
Today, the 1st of december, I took a decision. I will take a break from my book. I don't know how long my break will be. Maybe it will only last one month? To months? Or maybe it will last longer. 6 months? One year? I'm not sure yet. But I promise I'll come back, so...don't remove this story from your library :). *wink*
The last thing I want to do it this letter is thank to all my readers. You guys are amazing. You are the people who changed my life and I will be forever grateful. Hope I'll find the same loving and supportive people when I'll come back. I love you so much and thank you for all the time you've been supporting me. Thank you for all the nice, positive comments, they always made my day. If you want to talk, DM me! I'm always open to conversating with you guys :)❤️Also, expect a new book coming soon because I have some chapters I wrote for another story and I'm pretty proud of them :))
So...yeah, what can I say? Take care, 'till our paths will cross once again!
-Mara❤️
