Endless night

Myles POV:

After a while of just enjoying each other's company I decide that it's time to leave.
Myles: You want to leave? It getting really late.
Briar: Sure.

We stand up front the porch steps when Dawson cane out the house and I may say, pretty drunk.

Dawson: HEYY!! M-Myleessss, already leaving? It's just 11 pm.
Myles: Dawson, it's  2:30 am.
Dawson: What?! Already?!
Myles: Yes, great party by the way.
Dawson: So who's the girl? Wait! Briar?
Briar: Hey D! -she says weirdly at seeing him so drunk-
Dawson: I didn't knew you were back. -he said stumbling around-
Briar: Yeah, we did miss contact a few months ago.
Dawson: I know! I lost my phoneee, girl, but whatever,  I miss you a lot o-okayyy?
Briar: Yep, I think you should go back.
Dawson: Back to the partyyyyy! - he went inside and shut the door-
Briar: I never thought of him as a party guy -she let out a giggle-
Myles: Really?
Briar: Well I mean when we left he was like 12 but still- we laugh-

I opened the car door for her and she get in, after driving for a while in silence we got to the house I left the car in my house and we walk the few steps to get to her house.

Myles: Well we're here.
Briar: Thank you, I have a lot of fun.
Myles: I'm glad to hear that... Amh,so I'm really looking forward that date.
Briar: Me too -she took my hand and look me in the eyes-I'm  really excited for it.
Myles: Me too, what about tomorrow?Maybe go for brunch?
Briar: I will love to, What time?
Myles: Mgh... 10:30? I'll pick you up.
Briar: Okay -she give me a cute smile-
Myles: Great. -I got the courage and kiss her, after a few seconds of kissing we pull apart and smile (I know, super cheesy)- I wish this never ends.
Briar: Me neither, it's perfect. -her hands resting in my shoulders and mine on her waist-
Myles: Everything is perfect with you. -She give me an awe look and I just hug her-

Her mom peeks from the window of her living room and give us a worry look when we saw her and mouthed a 'sorry'

Briar: I guess I have to go -she smile and give me a peck on the lips- Bye Mylo.

I just smile like an idiot and wave at her goodbye, I went back to my house and go straight to my room. Wow, today I have courage, I took her to a party, I ask her in a date and kiss her, I have an amazing night with her and I feel like is the start of something new (like high school musical song, ha, you get it? 😂)  I just hope our date tomorrow goes perfect. I'll ask her in a few more dates maybe 2 and then I will ask her to be my girlfriend. I know, I don't need to hurry, but I really like her, even if I know her for a really short time, all of this is crazy, but I like it. I wish tonight
never ended, but what can we do? Right?
