This was the first time in 2 years that I'd made it to RTX. I had really missed the wonderful atmosphere of it all, but this was also the first RTX that I had made the trip alone. Years before I made the trip with a boyfriend and before that a really good friend. But this year I was alone. The 14-hour drive had worn on me but when I finally made it to the hotel I still wasn't able to sleep. I had gone to the front desk and grabbed my key. The Marriott had even gone through the trouble of having custom key cards printed. The one that I held had a picture from Camp Camp on it. I made my way to the room. Floor 8 room 821. The door unlocked as I slid the card into the slot and pulled it out. After laying on the bed for a few hour I looked at the clock. It was only 6 pm on Thursday. I had driven through the night and into the afternoon but I couldn't bring myself to sleep, or even to slow my thoughts. I felt like something was going to happen. Something big but it was just nerves. I hated crowds, I hated being alone. A convention definitely wasn't the best place for me to be solo but I couldn't just not go. I paid for the VIP tickets and I signed up for the autographs. I had a chance to meet my favorite people and to surround myself with like-minded nerds. I couldn't pass it up.
Autographs.
I had two signings this year. The first was with my favorite Achievement Hunters, Michael and Lindsay. I could expect that it would be hectic. Most likely no normal pass holders in the line. I thought back to 2017 when I had a signing with Ryan and Jeremy. Every badge in the line was a yellow triangle and the line felt rushed. Everyone wanting to spend time with the two men. I had rushed through the signing. My anxiety making me question whether I had been up front too long. I hated being an inconvenience and so I didn't want to take up time. I was still happy when I left. I was excited that I had been able to hug them and make them smile with the few words I had muttered. This year Michael and Lindsay would be no different but I'd also be meeting Cow Chop. The last convention I'd been to I didn't even know their names, but now they were almost all that I watched. As soon as I had started watching Cow Chop I was hooked. You could even say that it was love at first sight. I was mesmerized by their smiles and terrified by their complete disregard for rules and safety. They were everything that I normally hated but for some reason I couldn't stop watching. It didn't take me long to fall into the fangirl rut. I loved all of them. Each of them had a special place in my heart now, but there was one man that I held above the rest. You could probably guess it. Aleks. He's beautiful. His smile was contagious and the eye squint got to me every time. I had already played over in my head a million time what I planned on saying to him. I didn't want to be creepy and I didn't want to be stoic either. Maybe a cheesy pickup line? Maybe just address the entire group as a whole? I couldn't decide. I didn't want any of the group to feel left out. I wanted to show my appreciation for all of them but it's a hard task to complete in such a short amount of time. Finally around midnight I tired myself out thinking. I got up to wash my face and brush my teeth. I changed into pajamas and pulled out my laptop and headphones. I laid in bed under the blankets watching youtube and slowly drifting off to sleep. In the morning my alarm went off at 10 am. I woke up to get ready for the day. Putting on jeans and a tank top. The red foil cow chop tank top to be specific. Today was the day I met Cow Chop, why not rep their merch. I began the descent to the lobby after I was ready. The first order of business was to go get signed in and pick up my bag of goodies from the registration table. I made my way to the Austin convention center and to the booth. The VIP line was smaller than the normal line and after I was done there I started to wander around. My signing was at 2 pm. I had 3 hours until I met them. I was still thinking about what I might say. I walked to the other end of the convention center without really noticing. I turned and made my way back. Luckily, there were no panels that I was interested in before the signing so I had plenty of time to think. By my fourth or fifth pass, I decided that I would do the pickup line. It might make them laugh and then at least I'd be able to say that I'd hit on Aleks. Maybe I would direct it to everyone so as to not show favoritism... No that wouldn't be as much fun. I'd say the pickup line to Aleks and then I'd just talk to the others. That would work well enough... I hope. I looked at my watch. It was 12:45. I had walked up and down the halls for almost 2 hours. I just needed to think of the pickup line. I went back to walking.

As of right now I have a few chapters already done so I'm going to upload them tonight, but let me know what you think. I promise you that this was in no way intended to be a well-written story. It's just something that I work on when I can't sleep so that usually means bad writing, but I just hope that someone will enjoy reading it and that's really my only motivation behind posting this <3 have a great day!

FanfictionThis is a story that I dreamt up about meeting Aleks at RTX. It seems like I only write more when I stay up too late so I'm sorry for the bad grammar and writing. It also might be kind of slow but my imagination isn't outlandish enough to think up...
