The Pickup Line

At 1:45 I made my way to the autograph line. I waited outside the room for awhile. I wanted to be towards the back of the line so there were fewer people left to watch me. At 2 exactly the line seemed to be about as long as it would get so I went up to the guardian and showed him my ticket. He handed me a laminated piece of paper and told me which line to stand in, but as he started to motion to the second line a door at the back of the room opened and five men stepped through. Aleks, James, Brett, Asher, and Trevor. It wasn't all of Cow Chop but I wasn't complaining. I guess it would be hard to get everyone at one signing booth. The men made their way to the second line. There was a table but as soon as Aleks got close enough he grabbed the poor plastic table and flipped it on its side. The people in the front of the line laughed and clapped. Brett seemed to say something that I couldn't hear to a guardian standing by the booth. The guardian nodded and started to fold up the legs of the table. Aleks grabbed one side and the guardian grabbed the other and they put it behind the RTX 2019 backdrop that was set up for pictures. "No table. Alrighty then." I made my way to the back of the line and stood. The guardian made sure each of us was in the correct position and chatted with us while we stood in line. I alternated between listening to her, listening to Cow Chop and thinking about the pick up line. Slowly the line was getting smaller. Surprisingly no one else had come in for Cow Chops line. It seemed like I might actually be the last person. Minutes ticked by and the line got smaller and smaller. The guys seemed to be having a good time. They were joking around and having good conversations with the people that they were talking with. I looked around and noticed that there were very few girls in line. I thought about that for awhile just to get my mind off of what I was planning to do.

There were 6 people left in front of me. I was so close to them and yet I was still so unprepared for everything. One more fan left after their photos and then there were five people in front of me. I was laughing about something that Brett said and then there were 4 people in front of me. The next three people seemed to fly by and I was standing alone in the line. The guy in front of me was getting a picture taken and he shook hands with each man individually. I was the last person. My heart was beating so fast that I was starting to feel lightheaded. I handed the guardian my laminated paper and my phone after I turned on the camera. "The last victim" Trevor said jokingly. I laughed a small breathless laugh and took a step forward. My mind was spinning. I opened my mouth in the hopes that I might be able to speak. Surprisingly words actually came out. " Yeah. I hope I don't take up too much of your guys's time. I know you must be tired of shaking hands and hugging and all that." Aleks laughed and James shook his head. "Nah We love doing this stuff. You guys are the reason that we get to be here so don't worry about it." I smiled again. "Well I'm not very good at this whole fluidity thing so I'm just going to go down the line." I took a breath before starting. Trevor was on the far left so I addressed him first. "Trevor you're a wonderful and hilarious individual. You're talented and I love seeing you in videos. Your editing is amazing, and every time you laugh it puts a smile on my face." Trevor almost looked like he was blushing as he smiled and said "Thank you. I'm glad someone appreciates me." He jokingly glared towards Aleks who in turn just looked away from him and rolled his eyes. I smiled and moved down the line. "Brett, I'm so happy that you came around. If not for you I don't think Cow Chop would be alive. You are truly the 'Daddy' of the group. In more than one sense of the word." Brett smiled and bowed his head and brought it back up. "Thank you very much. I try my best to keep these idiots alive" I turned to face my next target. "Asher, I didn't know how to feel about you at first but as you started to get into more content I truly fell in love with your wonderful humor. Thank you for being as stoic as I feel on the inside" Asher smiled and laughed. I turned again. James stood there looking at Asher. "James. You are insane. An actual banshee, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you for being an inspiration to me." He turned a little red at that. "You are more than welcome. Thank you for watching" Again I smiled. I don't really think I had stopped smiling. My stomach dropped though as I turned to the last man of the group. Aleks stood there looking at me. I couldn't really pinpoint an emotion in his expression. It was almost a smile but not. His face was still pleasant though. I could feel my face turning red as I thought very briefly about what I was about to do. I looked at the guardian and asked her for my phone. She looked confused but handed it to me. I opened it to the screen that I had left up just for this moment. I looked back at Aleks. "I couldn't really decide what I wanted to say to you so instead I was wondering if you could just fill out a survey for me. "Aleks looked confused and baffled for a second but nodded "I guess if that's what you want?" I held out my phone and he took it. His face went blank as he looked at the screen and then he broke out into a fit of laughter. "Whats all that about?" James asked and then looked at the screen as well. As he saw the 'new contact' page he shook his head in disbelief "Damn. I have never heard that one before." He looked at me with wide eyes."That's a smooth ass pickup line." I laughed and looked at Aleks who was wiping away fake tears and then he started typing something into my phone. The other guys started asking about what it was. Aleks didn't say anything until he handed me back my phone. On the screen it clearly said "Aleksandr Marchant" and underneath was a phone number. My mouth dropped as I looked back at him. He was still smiling. "I didn't think you'd actually do it..." He laughed again at the tone of my voice. "It was too good. I couldn't deny you. Just don't give it out" He winked at me and I could feel my heart stop. The guardian said something behind me and I realized that I needed to wrap up. I handed her back my phone and in a daze I asked the group if I could take a picture. After they were taken I asked them each for a hug. Everyone seemed happy to hug me and when I made it back to Aleks he hugged me and whispered something in my ear that sounded something like "Text me" and he let go. I started to walk away after I grabbed my phone from the guardian and then I was back in the hallway that I had paced almost an hour earlier. I had in fact gotten Aleksandr Marchant's phone number....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I know it's not very realistic but really what fanfiction is? I hope you guys are enjoying this. It took me way too long to decide on a pickup line that I thought could get anywhere close to working
