they can make the tiniest cages rattle
they are what gives me strength
they are what I take to my battle

Deep in my heart There's a void you can't fill My demons roar louder than ever Their voices loud and shrill
So I built my walls up high To make sure no voices get out But you still insisted to stay close All I had to do was shout
I was afraid you'd give up My walls weren't easy to break So I started pushing from the inside I tried just for your sake
Maybe your intention wasn't to break through You just wanted to create cracks to let in light To make me see that you'll never leave And after a long long time I slept warm and tight
