List of things we've broken ~
If not breaking a promise is also a promise, should I add it to the list of things we've broken this year?
Should I add the names of those that you and I have let down or should that be a separate list of souls whose trust lay crumpled at our feet?
Would you want me to add the names of the doors you kept knocking down the memory lane until your knuckles bled red?
Or perhaps would you like for me to underline the names of judgements on the list that were broken to begin with but whom we visited every day just to make sure they stayed broken?
What about our own names?
When do we add our names to the list?
We tried to break each other too, didn't we?
Is it too soon to deem each other broken?
Is it too soon to deem each other guilty?
It might be too soon after all, turns out you do still have unkept promises at stake.
And I do still have miles to go before I break.
