Woozi's POV
"Class, we're going on a trip to Japan for the next history lesson. Since we didn't do the project a couple of other classes did, our whole class is allowed to go." My teacher announces.
"Awesome! Did you hear that, Jihoon?!" Seungkwan pats my shoulder.
"Yes." I let out a sigh, placing my chin in the palm of my hand.
"Three other teachers will be joining us but a selected few were picked to come." This catches my attention.
She starts explaining what the trip is about and why it's important. That part, I kind of zone out.
The bell rings and I quickly pack up.
"Don't forget! We'll be there four full days! See you Monday at five in the morning!" She waves us off.
"Are you as excited as I am?!" Seungkwan prances around me in excitement.
"She said three other classes will be joining us, right?" I ask him.
"Yup."
"Do you think-"
"Aelia? It's possible. She one of the more dedicated ones in the class so she might be picked. But let's go eat! I'm hungry!" He pulls me to the lunch lines.
After buying food, we go to the table to see everyone is in a happy mood, even Aelia.
"What's everyone so giddy about?" I ask.
"Didn't you hear? WE'RE GOING TO JAPAN!" Soonyoung grabs my shoulders and shakes me.
"Were you all... selected...?" my eyes widen.
"Yeah!" They all smile.
Great. All fourteen of us on a trip to Japan? That'll be something. How is this even possible that we're all allowed to go?
"I'm excited. There will be all kinds of history there that we'll get to see!" Aelia looks at the sky with dreamy eyes.
"I'm just happy we don't have to be in this school for a few days." Minghao says.
"HaoHao?" She looks up at him.
He hums in response. HaoHao...?
She walks over to him and whispers something and he smiles. He nods at her and she smiles. Aelia's been so happy and bright about things lately. It makes the whole group feel more cheery.
Mingyu walks up to the two as everyone else starts discussing the trip. I continue looking at the three as they smile about something Aelia said.
"Stop staring! It's really noticeable, Hoon." Seokmin chuckles as he whispers to me.
My face heats up and I quickly take a bite of my sandwich.

"KIM MINGYU! WE'RE GONNA MISS OUR FLIGHT BECAUSE OF YOU!" Aelia yells at the boy.
"But but but! That cute puppy!" He frowns as she drags him, his suitcase, and her suitcase.
"I have a dog at home! You can see him when we get back!"
"YOUR DOG HATES ME!"
"So! I still have one you can see!"
We all rush to the gate where the rest of the class is waiting for us.
"Sorry." We all bow.
"Mingyu wanted something at the store and we didn't see the time." Jisoo covers for us, still putting all the blame on Mingyu though, making me snicker.
"Alright. Stay on top of it next time though." One of the teachers sigh at us.
"Seungkwan, I agree with you now from the other day." I hear Aelia say and he laughs.
"Stop glaring." Someone pinches my side, making me glare at them.
My eyes widen when I see it's Minghao who pinched me. He looks me up and down for a second before walking to get his ticket scanned.
"Yay! I get to sit next to Aelia on the plane!" Soonyoung hugs her shoulders from the side.
"Oh wonderful." I swear her eyes went back into her skull for a second.
"Aww! You don't want to sit next to me?!" He pouts, running after her after her ticket was scanned.
After my ticket is scanned, I walk into the plane finding my seat quickly. I set my backpack under the seat in front of me and look to the right to see feet standing there. I lift my gaze to see Jisoo standing over me.
"Hello, Jihoon. I'll be your seat buddy for today."
I nod and let him sit at the window seat. Since it's a smaller plane, it's two seats per side. I notice Aelia and Soonyoung sitting diagonally from us. Aelia is on the aisle seat so I can see her laughing at whatever Soonyoung is saying.
Closing my eyes, I lean my head back on my seat. This is gonna be a long flight.
The first half hour I can hear them laughing quietly about something. But after that, I see her leaning on his shoulder. Mingyu, who's sitting in the seat across the aisle from her, gets up and puts a blanket on her. I sigh in relief. She's just asleep.
"Has she said anything yet?"
I look over at Jisoo and blink.
"About what?"
"About her mom?"
I sigh and shake my head.
"No. She won't even talk about her life before. All she talks about is now."
"That's just how she is." He looks in the direction she's in, "I still see that look in her eyes with only you."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
I run my hand through my hair and stare at her shoulder since that's all I can see. I wonder what he means by that. He sees happiness? But I see her happy all the time though, except when she gets mad at me or the boys and the few times I've seen her cry.
"You're thinking about how you've always seen her happy, aren't you?" It's like he read my mind.
"Y-yeah..." I look at him surprise.
"It's because of you. I'm telling you, Jihoon. There's something about you that makes her happier." He sighs and gives me a small smile, "Thank you." He whispers before leaning his head against the window and slowly closing his eyes.
Thank you... He said thank you... Thoughts start jumbling through my head and I take out my notebook. The rest of the plane ride, I write songs to take my mind off everything.
