Woozi's POV
"It's been two weeks and you're still upset about getting fourth place?" Aelia pats Mingyu's head.
"We did so good though!" He groans, laying his head on her shoulder.
"Yeah, but I saw Sicheng dance. He was good competition, Mingie." She rubs his back in comfort.
"Hey, pay attention to your boyfriend." I whisper in her ear, loud enough for only her to hear.
"Hey! I'm with you all of the time, mister!" She smacks my arm.
"You're with him all of the time too!" I point at Mingyu.
"Jihoon, ever since you two started dating, you haven't let anyone take her anywhere alone."
"That's not true." I scoff, crossing my arms.
"You're a horrible liar." Jeonghan rolls his eyes.
"Yeah, I've been wanting her to help me with my dance but you won't let me." Chan pouts.
Aelia's eyes widen and she looks at him.
"You've been wanting me to help choreograph?"
"Yeah. I asked him if I can take you for at least an hour but..." he shrugs.
"Jihoon!"
"What? There's nothing wrong with that." I shrug.
"Just let her. She's never with us anymore." Wonwoo says.
"A week. Just one week." Jun suggests.
"Please!" Seokmin and Seungkwan begs me.
I stare at all twelve boys who look like children. Even Aelia stares at me with pleading eyes. I sigh and groan.
"One week." I finally agree.
"Yay! Thank you!" Soonyoung hugs me.
"Get off of me." I groan.
My eyes catch Aelia's and a smile grows on her face. She mouths 'thank you' and I smile back.
It's been two weeks since we started dating. Two weeks since I got the courage to both kiss her and ask her out. When she said yes, there was no way for me to stop smiling. Just knowing she's finally mine, makes my heart flutter. We'll have a strong future, I can feel it.
It was so awkward at first. Honestly, neither of us have been in a relationship before so it was new to both of us. We never showed in public we were together due to nervousness. All we'd do is stand next to each other all the time. Eventually, we got comfortable around the boys and hugged and said cute things to each other. The boys get so annoyed with us but they should've seen it coming. I mean, we're dating. It was inevitable. They should've known. That's what they would've done if they were together with her too... Pft! I'm not still mad about them liking her! Maybe just a little...
I look over at her as I'm deep in my thoughts. Watching her argue with Minghao about something, I smile at her. Her eyes look brighter than usual and so does her smile. She just looks so beautiful. I can see the same light I saw in her the day we met in the Big Apple. It gives me a warm feeling inside. It's me who's making this aura come off of her and I'm glad I can make her like this.
I don't think I've ever been so affectionate and happy before. But for some reason, this girl in front of me makes me do all kinds of crazy things. I don't mind it at all.
"So, Aelia! Will you stay with me after school today to work on it?" Chan asks.
"Of course! Should we get some food first?" She asks.
He nods with a smile and Jisoo comes next to her.
"Can Wonwoo and I come too? We want to hang out with you!" Jisoo asks.
"Of course." She laughs.
"Wait me too. I'm dancing with Chan for the next performance." Jun says.
"Then I claim Aelia by myself tomorrow!" Seungkwan raises his hand.
"Hey, you can't do that! I'm the best friend!" Mingyu argues.
"Since when?" Minghao hits him.
"What if I wanted to hang out with her too?" Jeonghan butts in.
They all start arguing and she pinches the bride of her nose. And the old Aelia is back. I laugh a little and pull on her hand. She looks at me and I smile.
"Let's go before they notice we're gone, yeah?"
She smiles and nods. Pulling her away, we sneakily run through the halls. She laughs, intertwining our hands and I smile at her. Seriously, how can one person make me this happy?
I pull her into the music room from what felt like so long ago. As soon as we're inside, I bring her into the piano room. She laughs as I sit on the bench, causing us to let our hands go. I look at her with a clueless expression and she laughs even more.
"What?" I ask, leaning my head to the side slightly.
"I'm just remembering how you took me in here and played your audition song and I cried." She smiles and sits next to me on the bench.
She faces me and tangles her fingers in my hair. She tilts her head, her stunning eyes staring into my own. She exhales and smiles, shaking her head.
"Do you realize how much that piece meant to me and still does?" She places her forehead on mine, "I told you. You were my inspiration, Jihoon."
"I'm glad. And you're my motivation." I kiss her nose.
"I better be." She smirks.
"Gosh! You ruined the moment!" I push her playfully.
She laughs then faces the piano.
"Want me to show you what I learned on my own? I've been waiting to show you but we've been studying so much lately for the upcoming exams." She sighs.
"Of course. Show me." The bell rings and I look at the ceiling.
"I don't mind being late to class to show you." She looks at me.
I look at her in surprise. She must be serious about this song. I bite the inside of my cheek then nod. She takes out her binder from her backpack then flips through the thousands of music sheets she has. She finally finds it then places it on the stand. She furrows her eyebrows together as she looks at the first notes. I look over the piece and realize the song as soon as she plays the first chords.
'Adore U', the song we sang at the beach while she played the ukulele. I hum along with it until she finishes what she knows, which she ends in a weird place.
"Sorry... That's all I know right now." She scratches her head.
"That's alright. You must've practiced a lot."
"Lately, I haven't been able to sleep at night and I was bored... So I learned it. Remember when you taught me how to play for that project a while ago?"
"Yeah."
"Well I've been staying up even longer to memorize what each key's chord is so I could play this song. I've also memorized what each sounds like. It took me a while but not too long since it almost sounds the same as when I play it on the violin." She blabbers on.
"You're adorable." I laugh, intertwining our fingers.
As I kiss her hand, I stare into her eyes and notice the sparkle in them. She's so perfect. There's not a single thing I'd change about her.
She jumps suddenly, scaring me a bit as she quickly packs up.
"We've got to get to class! I have chemistry right now!" She starts freaking out a bit.
"Aelia, you're smart. You'll understand the lesson whether you're there or not."
"That's very true but I don't have any friends in that class so I won't have the notes that I'm missing right now."
"Seongwoo and Minhyun aren't in that class?"
"Nope. The only class I have with them is history." She rushes out the door, me following close behind.
I drop her off at her class, making sure she's not in trouble. Thankfully, she has good grades in the class so the teacher excuses her. I sigh in relief before rushing to my class.
