It was chilling to the bone outside. Snow covered everything, and it was hard for Bertholdt to see. He decided that it was time that he walked. His legs began to become sore. They hurt, and he was cold.
All of a sudden, he heard sniffling, and saw Isabella's fuzzy black jacket in the snow. He walked over to her.
Isabella heard the crunching of the snow.
"Go away," she said. Thinking it was one of the girls.
The foot steps became louder. Isabella turned her head, and saw that it was Bertholdt. He smiled weekly at her. Isabella began to cry harder.
Bertholdt hugged her tightly. His warmth embracing her. Her's doing the same. She pulled him down with her, and buried her face in his neck.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," she cried. Tears sliding down her cheeks, and onto his neck.
Bertholdt looked at her, and kissed her check.
"It's okay," Bertholdt said. "I'm fine. Really I am."
This made Isabella cry even more.
They staid there, hugging. It was said, and heartbreaking.
Was he really going to stay a child forever?
