His raised fist collided with his jaw.
"Touch her and I'll fucking kill you!"
Everyone gasped.
"You came..."
Her voice was a whisper.
Their eyes met. Tears filled her eyes.
He was wrong.
He had underestimated her again.
She was strong. Stronger than he expected.
Rage consumed him.
He was gonna kill that bastard.
She held him back.
"Don't!....Let him suffer."
What?
He turned to see her smiling. Her face was glowing.
She interlaced their hands and started walking to the door.
"Leah don't leave..." Her mom sobbed,"I can't do anything without you."
"Don't go." Her father added.
Leah stopped, turning to face them.
"If you really cared, even had really cared. You would have understood me."
Her eyes swept over the crowd and landed on Vance.
She released his hand and walked up to Vance.
And gave him a tight slap across his face.
"I hope that reminds you not to ever mess with a woman ever again."
With that she left, all her problems.
They were now gone and she was free.
