Claires Pov:
"Jack! Wake up" I yelled to my 5 year old son which was sleeping in his own room of our little apartment.
"hey" Seth whispered into my ear attacking me from behind.
"hey" I smiled turning to him and placing a kiss on his lips.
"you look beautiful just like akways" he smiled.
"and you're as handsome as ever" I smiled back. In these 5 years I've changed much. Seth helped me get I've my depression and cutting. I am also gaining weight little by little. I still feel insecure mouth by body but I am getting better. Seth was there for me. Jena too.
"I'll go check on Jack" I sighed and walked into Jack's room.
"morning, sunshine " I sung as I pulled the curtains open letting the room get filled with light.
Jack was slowly waking up. "you excited to meet aunty Jena? "
"yeah" he half yelled. He really loved Jena.
"breakfast in 30" I smiled.
I watched him walk into the bathroom as I exited the room and began to make pancakes for him like every Sunday morning.
I was nearly finished when Jack slipped into the kitchen sitting excited at the table. I set down a plate in front of him and he immediately began to eat.
2 hours later Jena finally arrived with a big warm hug.
"aunty Jena" Jack squealed as soon as he saw her.
"hey little guy" she smiled and lifted him up to spin him around once before she set him down again and Jack couldn't stop giggling.
"I missed you "
"you know, I missed you too. How about we go into your room and catch up the lost time" Jena suggested looking at me and I nodded OK. They went into Jack's room.
Seth and I had an important meeting so Jena was playing the babysitter. After 5 years I would meet my parents again. Well-only my mother.
I was nervous but I knew I could manage with Seth by my side.
"hello" I greeted her when we arrived at the restaurant where we were supposed to meet.
"long time no see, darling " she smiled. Other than my father and uncle she's out of prison already.
"I'm not your darling " I snapped but soon after sighed and apologized.
She began to bomb me with questions and we actually talked for a long time and agreed to keep in contact. So I guess that they were not all full of crap. I'm kind of glad to know that there is somewhere deep inside of them something good. At least in my mother.
"are you alright? " Seth asked on out way home because I was spaced out most of the time.
"yeah. I was just thinking. " I smiled.
"what about? " he got curious.
"that my mother is not full of crap unlike my father and uncle... I'm glad I met up with her. 100% honesty here" I explained. The car stopped and we both got out. Jack and Jena were asleep on the couch with SpongeBob being shown on TV. I smiled at that view and got to sleep myself. Seth and I fell asleep happy and relieved.
