It was 5:50. I was waiting for Sirius when a song came into my head.

"Yeah, you can be the greatest,
You could be the best,
You could be the king kong,
Banging on your chest

You can beat the world,
You can beat the war,
You can talk to God, go banging on his door

You can throw your hands up
You can be the clock
You can move mountains
You can break rocks
You can be a master
Don't wait for luck
Dedicate yourself and you can find yourself

Standing in a hall of fame
And the worlds gonna know your name
'Cos you burn with the brightest flame
And the world's gonna know your name...
And you'll be on the walls in the hall of fame...

You could go the distance,
You could run the mile,
You could walk straight through hell with a smile

You could be a hero,
You could get the gold,
Breaking all the records they thought never could be broke

Do it for your people
Do it for your pride
Never gonna know if you never even try
Do it for your country
Do it for your name
Cause there's gonna be a day when your...

Standing in a hall of fame
And the worlds gonna know your name
'Cos you burn with the brightest flame
And the world's gonna know your name,
And you'll be on the walls in the halls of fame...

Be a champion...
Be a champion...
Be a champion...
Be a champion...
On the walls of the hall of fame

Be students,
Be teachers,
Be politicians,
Be preachers,
Be believers,
Be leaders,
Be astronauts,
Be champions,
Be truth seekers,

Be students,
Be teachers,
Be politicians,
Be preachers,
Be believers,
Be leaders,
Be astronauts,
Be champions,

Standing in the hall of fame
And the world's gonna know your name
'Cos you burn with the brightest flame
And the world's gonna know your name,
And you'll be on the walls in the hall of fame...

Standing in a hall of fame." I finish and see that I'm in the deep part of the forest. I look up to see I'm twenty minutes early. "Sirius?" I ask into the silence.

"Grr!" I heard a growl turned around to see my friends trying to hurt him. I transformed went onto the rock and roared loudly.

"Leave. Him. Alone! He's a guest!" I growled.

They backed off of him and my mother-like figure came over and picked me up by the tuff of my neck. She took me to where we usually stand and set me down. "You silly cub, you got hurt didnt you?" My mother asked.

"I'm sorry, Mother. But he's my friend." I told her.

"It's alright" she said and we started the ceremony.

Once it finished, I was almost alseep. "Sweetie, you ok? You gave alot more energy than usual. Come on. Lets get you back to the castle." My mother said. I nodded and tried to stand but fell. "Too much energy given to the goddess."

"Here, let me help you." Padfoot said and helped me stand up. I leaned against him. "Come on. Lets get you back to the castle." He picked me up and took me up to the castle.

Once we got to the common room, Sirius put me on the couch. "I'm going to bed. See you in the morning, Lira." He said and went to bed.

I looked around and tried to snuggle close to someone and jumped when I felt a hand on my fur. My head shot up and saw that it was Remus. "My parents made me come back and stay. I just got here. Go back to sleep, Lira." He said picking me up and placing me on his lap. I was almost asleep when Sirius came down being as loud as he is.

"Bloody hell, Remus?! What are you doing here?" Sirius almost screamed.

"My parents wanted me to come here. Just got here." Remus replied.

"Right." Sirius said sitting down next to Remus. I was falling asleep when Professor McGonagall and Professor Dumbledore came in. "Professors?" Sirius asked.

"We came to get Lira. Apparently, according to her lioness mother, she gave to much energy and may die." Dumbledore told them.

"What? So thats why she couldn't stand on her own." Sirius mumbled.

"Couldn't stand on her own?" McGonagall asked, worried.

"Yea. I had to help her get back to the castle. In the end I carried her." Sirius told them.

"Quickly, we need to get her to where the moon can shine on her. Now." Dumbledore said and I felt my body being picked up. "This is worse than I thought."

"Define worse, Professor?" Remus asked.

"Well, Remus, Lira's body is weak and basically that is what her kind become when death is approaching them. For a young cub to survive it, they put them under the moon and it becomes a full one. No. You will not have your you-know-what when it becoes a full-moon. However, if we do not hurry she can die." Dumbledore said and I could feel us starting to run.

It was about ten minutes later when I felt my body be gently put on the floor. The moon came out and went into a full one. I could feel my conciousness leaving my grip and going just out of my grasp when, suddenly, I saw the lioness godess. "Mother?" I ask the goddess.

"My child, you gave me so much of your energy you could have died. Please, next time refrain from doing so." She told me.

"But Mother, where have you been? I need you!" I asked her.

"I have been watching you, my child. I love you more than you know and more than you ever will know. Until the day I see you again, my cub. This is goodbye." And just like that she was gone. I woke up in Remus' arms. He was looking down on me and I was still in my lioness form.

"Hey Lira, you awake?" He asked gently incase I was still asleep. Seeing that I was awake but not fully, he set me down on the ground and I transformed into my human form.

"I am never doing this again." I mumbled into the ground.

"Well, you had a choice on energy didnt you?" Sirius asked.

I looked up at him and sighed. "No. No I don't. You see, cubs can not control how much energy they give to the goddess. Everyone goes through this. It is rare, actually, to get two cubs of the same mother to give the same amount of energy. Each cub is forced to give a different amount, even if they are not present they still give." I told them.

"Yikes. Must be painful." Remus commented.

"No, just tiring." I tell them rolling onto my back.
