Quit It, Marauders!

Chapter 7

It was no friend. It was foe.

'Run. Run. Run!' I yelled to myself in my mind, 'run until you see the tree line!' And so I did.

I ran until I saw the tree line but the wolf was there again. I looked up and saw a half moon. 'Not Remus,' I told myself. "Worry not, cub! I'll save you!" I heard someone call. I looked up to see Leo's father in his Lion form. "Leave this cub alone, Charles." Nick groweld.

"I wish I could but you see, the Dark Lord needs her. One of his loyal servants is siblings to her and has gone into depression." He growled back.

"Lies." I heard another growl from behind me. I turned and saw Leo's mother, Lucy. Leo's sisters, Poppy and Ruby. And Leo's three brothers, Jake, Steve and Jhon.

Lucy rushed over to me and forced me behind her. She was like a mother figure to me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a group of people running towards us. One lion in front. I growled at Charles he growled back and we started circling each other. "Leave! You are no longer needed here, Wolf!" I growled.

"Oh I am. To make your life a living HELL!" On 'hell' we pounced on each other. I made a deep cut in his arm he did one across my arm as well. He punched me down into the gorund and I couldnt get up. I could only look at the place where Charles was. "Enjoy Hell, Lioness." He said and disappeared.

Lucy rushed over and transformed. "Lira? Lira? Lira, please answer me!" She pleaded. I tried to move but it hurt to much. She picked my limp lioness cub form up and walked to the tree line, set me down, gathered everyone who came up and Disapperated. I suddenly felt my eyes drooping shut as the moon started to set.

I awoke the next day in the tree line still weak and unable to move. I saw a group running towards the forest but they stopped short on seeing my weak motionless limp form in the tree line. "Lira?" I heard Leo ask. I whimpered in pain as I tried to move to look at him. "Lira!" He shouted and ran over. I put my paw on top of his hand and looked up at him. I licked the tears from his face and put my head back down, closing my eyes. "Lira! Lira no!" Leo shouted and cried, thinking I was dead. I could tell Dumbledore heard and came here in two seconds.

"Lira?" He asked. I didnt move. "Lira if you can hear me, move your ear." I did and he sighed looking into the forest seeing red eyes. He suddenly pulled Leo away and the wolf came out. He changed into Charles Wolf.

"Charles!?!" Leo shouted in shock.

"Do it." I whined weakly.

"Do what?" He glared hardley at my form.

"Kill me. Its what you've always wanted. I'm in the open. I'm defensless, Charles. Do it. End my suffering. Make my friends feel bad that they couldn't save me in time." I told him weakly.

"No." He mumbled quietly, his glare disappearing. I slowly opened my eyes.

"What?" I aksed not hearing him.

"No. I'm not going to kill you. After all, your to important to your friends Lira. They would hate me if I killed you." He told me kneeling on the ground and putting a hand through my fur.

"All except my m-m-m-moth........." I couldn't finish I went unconcious from bloodloss.

"Lira? Lira?! Lira!" I heard Sirius Remus James Leo and Charles call but it was distant.
