Hi! It's Aimee here. I'm new to this and I have writers block with the marauders story I was currently working on, so I decided I'd have a go at one about Draco. I really wanted to try and get some empathy for Slytherin house and the struggles Draco had to go through. Let me know all your thoughts on this story in the comments!! I'll be updating weekly and maybe more often than that, I'll try my hardest. Anyway, let's get on with the story but quick reminder that I do not own any of j.k Rowlings characters and all of them are hers except the Humphrey and Campbell Family

Draco stop it! Get off! Stop tickling me I can't breathe!' Begs a five year old Chloe Campbell.

Chloe was a very polite girl who wore Mary-Jane shoes and little checked dresses, with knee length socks that were almost permanently grass stained from playing on the fresh green grass with her best friend. Her bright, blonde, bouncy curls danced as her best friend, Draco Malfoy attacked her with tickles.

The Campbell's were a very famous, very noble family, known for wealth and power. It's been said that they fraternise with dark magic, although no one can prove it. They're name is respected and in some cases even feared. Dear Chloe's mind has been filled with the idea of blood purity and muggle hatred. From the age of two; books have been shoved into her face about muggles burning witches and wizards, nursery rhymes sung to her about how muggles hate wizard kind, little did she know that her and her best friends would discover the truth, but that's many years away and until then, I shall tell you the tale, of four best friends journey through life, through happy times, dark times, their take will not go untold.

Chloe and Draco decided to go outside and play in her garden. Draco's father built a tree house out of magic for them in a willow tree at the bottom of Chloe's Garden. They spent all of their days there, sleepovers, tea parties, dress up, bedtime stories and pure childhood innocence.  The two five year olds were currently running around their play house, well Chloe was running, away from Draco who was tackling her with tickles.

'Draco please!!' She cried.

Laughing 'oh cmon chlo chlo! Have a little fun'

'Draco,' in between giggles 'Draco!'

'Fine I'll stop,' he sighed.

Both of them, after recovering their breath, sat up with their backs against the wooden walls. Chloe slipped her hand into Draco's and they just sat there, in peace just the two of them. Eventually they both fell asleep and hours later, Vivienne Campbell woke them up and took them back up to the house to get ready.

That night, was the Annual Summer Gala. Chloe always loved the Ball as it was an opportunity for her to dress up like a princess. Her mother always got her ready for this event. This year, Vivienne dressed her in a lilac dress that flowed out like a fairy princess' dress would, she platted  her platinum locks into a braid and carefully place silver flower clips in the plait. She then applied an extremely small amount of make up as Chloe would not stop begging and put two ringlets in her hair that hugged the side of her heart shaped framed face.

There was no doubt about it that Chloe was a pretty young girl, she had smooth pale skin and hair so blonde it was almost white. Her eyes were a sharp shade of green but had specks of blue. She had freckles along her button nose that were placed ever so delicately just under her eyes. She was an untouchable beauty.

Meanwhile Narcissa Malfoy was dressing Draco. Who felt the only joy he would get from this particular event would be that he was allowed the night to dance with his best friend.  He fought Narcissa as she tried to gel back his white hair. She dressed him in a tux, bow tie 'n' all, he looked like a proper gentleman.

Again, with young Malfoy there was no doubt to his dashing good looks. He was always good looking from a young age and always would be. The most fascinating part about the pair was that both, Chloe and Draco were very much ahead of their years. They both acted as though they were fifteen not five. Then again, they learnt how to waltz before they could walk and learnt how to recite poems and speeches as soon as they could talk.

It was 17:00 when guests started arriving. The main ball room was full to the brim with guests. The room was humongous, the edges of the room were filled with buffet tables stacked with different types of treats and snacks. There were decorations hanging all around and candles floating around a gigantic golden chandelier with crystals reflecting down on to every being in the room. The atmosphere was practically exploding with energy, classical music was played, jokes were shared, laughter could be heard from miles away. Suddenly, the crowed remained silent as the announcer introduced the four most important, well, more like, the richest families of the state;

'Narcissa Malfoy, escorted by her husband, Lucius Malfoy'

'Julia Zabini, escorted by her husband, Robert Zabini'

'Emma Humphrey, Escorted by her husband, Marcus Humphrey'

'And Vivienne Campbell, escorted by her husband Ryan Campbell'

The room burst into applause, but soon stopped, it was now their children's time to be announced;

'Rosalinda Humphrey, escorted by Blaise Zabini'

There was applause;

'And last but most certainly not least, Chloe Campbell escorted by Draco Malfoy'

The room burst into gasps of how 'adorable' they looked as Draco took Chloe's hand and led her down the wide, triangular, red velvet stairs onto the spacious dance floor.  The music was turned up and as if it was planned everyone started dancing. The four children kept close to each other whilst waltzing with their partners. Edging towards the back door of the room. The first song finally ended, and they legged it. Draco and Blaise grabbed sandwiches for all four of them to share and then followed the girls who managed to steal some juice.

They all met in the tree house. All four of them laid there in a sea of blankets and pillows all cuddled up together. They talked about doing such a thing at last years Gala, but were too afraid to go through with it. A year on they realised they didn't want to waist another pointless night, and so they escaped. Young, Wild, Careless and Free, oh how times change. Blaise Zabini, Rosalinda Humphrey, Draco Malfoy and Chloe Campbell all fell asleep after eating their sandwiches, and that's how they were found the next morning, by Vivienne who was glad to see that them kids were getting along. From a young age. All four of them new, all they needed was eachother, and so that's how they spent most of their Spring Gala nights. Sneaking off for a sleepover in the tree house, it became a tradition for the four of them.

It was on Draco's 11th birthday that he got the letter. That one letter that they'd all been waiting for. The one deciding their fates, accepting them into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Then again on Blaise's birthday, and then on Rosalinda's and finally, on Chloe's 11th birthday they all had a sleepover in celebration for the fact that all four of them, were accepted and in no less than 2 months would be shipped off to Hogwarts.

So that's my first attempt, let me know what you think in the comments, I'll be updating soon- A
