Chapter 12
Ariel
"Come on! You have to know something about the SS!" I protested. I was desperate like Bella in the first twilight movie. And everyone knows she was very desperate. I mean seriously, the girl was practically trying to commit suicide so she could see Edward for like thirty seconds. If that's not considered desperate then I don't know what is.
Alex averted his hazel eyes and bit his lip, "I s-seriously don't-t know anything-g!"
"You're lying." I stated.
"No I'm-m not, I s-swear!" he insisted. Oh bullshit! At this point I was ready to curse him out in Enochian! [It's the language angels originally spoke before they picked up English roughly a thousand or so years ago. I can speak it. All angels are born with the ability to speak it.]
"He's lying. Our dad is a member of the Sorcerer Society. Alex is in line to take his position once father dies." Ali said in a bored tone, picking her nails.
"Aha!" I exclaimed, "I knew you were lying, cutie!" Okay, so I know I should be mad at him but one glance at his face and I was a goner.
I loved the way his cheeks flamed when I called him cutie. Then he glared at Ali, "How could you tell? It's against the law to tell non-members!"
She giggled, "If it's against the saw then won't it break?" Okay so she's as stupid as Patrick Star, all over Caelum like I'm over seeing her face, and now she's deaf too? I think I should throw her of the dragon. Who's with me?
Alex face-palmed, "Law Ali! Law not saw!"
"Oh whoops. Silly me! Sometimes I'm just. . .what's the word? Oh yeah! Stupid! Sometimes I'm stupid!"
"Sometimes?" I questioned with a scoff, "More like all the time."
Alex sighed, "That's my sister." he muttered weakly but I could tell he agreed with me. Poor Alex. He has had to put up with miss-dumber-than-a-cork over here for years.
"Well! Where are they located?" I demanded.
"I really don't know! They wouldn't tell me much information. Until I actually became a member which is when my father dies, I'm kept in the dark."
"Well how about I kill your dad, they tell you the information, and then we barge in the place...?" I suggested.
Alex's eyes widened, "That is not happening! I may hate my dad but I'm not going to watch you kill him!"
"Why do you hate him?" I inquired, curiosity getting the best of me. Looks like I'm not the only one with daddy issues.
He averted his eyes, "I-I don-"
"If you say you don't hate him I will go and kill him right now." I threatened. When would he stop trying to lie to me?
His eyes widened with panic, "Okay, okay. I'll tell you!"
I smirked making Alex look a little light-headed, "Go ahead."
"I always wanted to be a vanguard. I wanted to travel the world and discover new things and then share my findings." Alex explained his eyes excited. He looked like a blonde hamster who was running for the carrot dangling in front of him while he was running on his hamster wheel. The corners of my lips twitched upward but I quickly went back to my neutral expression.
"But no one ever asked me what I wanted to be. At age fourteen my dad told me what his job was and informed me I was to take over his position one day. I never knew he was a member. I rarely saw him anyway. He was always on business trips." he told me, bitterly. I didn't feel the tiniest bit sympathetic. Hey, what did you expect? For me to be all Taylor-Swift-emotional once I found out he had daddy problems? Yeah, no. I had them too and I got over it..sort of.
