Previously;
"Let's get going then." I say as I nudge Starfire into a gentle gallop in the direction towards home.

It took the good part of a day to get there, as we only stopped for a quick lunch near a river. At the river, I finally learnt the princess' name was Alex, which I assumed was short for Alexandra or something.

Once we did arrive at my village, it was too late to see the witch so I told the princess we'd be staying at my house tonight, then go see the witch tomorrow. So, we head to the western part of town where my home presided, it's a good fifteen minute walk.

Once there, I showed Alex the guest room, which she would be sleeping in, and the rest of the house.

Before we new it, it was almost midnight, so we said are good nights, and when to our separate rooms.

During the night I heard my door creak open. Alex walked through the door, and whispered "Hey Alex, are you awake?"

"I was."

"Sorry for waking you. I couldn't sleep."

"Then why are you in here?"

"I thought that maybe I could...I mean...errr."

"Come here and be quiet, I need my beauty sleep." I reply.

"Thanks Sam." She replies happily.

She then walks over to the bed and settles down on the opposite side to me. Without making a sound she slips under the covers. Soon, we both drift off into a blissful sleep.

When I wake up, I notice that Alex had ended up cuddling into me, so I carefully get out of bed- after a mental freak out- without waking her up, before making my way to the kitchen to start breakfast. I'd just finished the bacon, when Alex came in- with a serious case of bed head might I add. At the smell of the cooking breakfast, I could instantly see her perk up. We both dug into our food, finishing it within minutes.

I left Alex to get changed, whilst I washed up, before leaving to get changed myself.

An hour later we where at the witch's door. I loudly knocked. I could hear shuffling, before the door slowly opened, revealing an aged woman with silver hair and a crooked back. A wooden cane held her up, preventing her from tipping over.

"Madame Scross?" I politely ask.

"Yes, who wants to know, and what business do you have with me?"

"I need you help. You see my friend here, Alex, accidentally got some love potion spilt on her, and we were wondering if you knew of a way to fix it?"

"Come in, we can talk more on your problem inside." She says while gesturing for us to enter her home, and leading us into her cozy little living room.

"Please tell me how Alex accidentally got a love potion spilt on her." She asks. So, I explain what had happened, with the witch occasionally asking questions like what did the traveler look like. Once we'd told her all the details, she got up, and went to a cupboard, and retrieved a spherical object.

"What's that?" Me and Alex ask.

"It's my crystal ball. I know it's cliché, get over it, after all, this book will have a lot of cliché moments. Now back to business. With this I'll be able to 'see' if there is a way to break or reverse the love potion."

"Ohhhhh."we reply.

She sets it on the table and carefully unwrapped the delicate glass. Once it's placed on the middle of the table, she stares into its reflective surface. Me and Alex just stared at her like she's crazy.

"Aha!" The witch shouts, causing us to jump.

"What?"

"I know of a way to temporarily reverse the potion b-"

"Temporarily?" I interrupt.

"If you'd have let me finish, I was about to say; but whilst it's temporarily reversed you can break it."

"How?"

"All she has to do is fall in love with someone."

"That simple?"

"Yes." She answered, as she gets up and retrieves something else from her cupboard. "Use this once a day, there is enough for a few days, I'm afraid that's all I have." She says whilst handing me a vile containing a purple concoction of sorts.

"Thank you so much for your help Madame Scross."

"No problem."

"Bye, and thank you once again."

"Like I said no problem. Now leave."

With that final order, we left Madame Scross' home.
