Time and Time Again

Strange Superpower

"Hey I'm Liam, what's your name?" I just stared at him open mouthed...

If this was my second chance I had already blew it!

"Ummm Lauren" I said attempting to change my shocked face into a smile.
"So have I missed much?" He asked...

If this was my only second chance then I had to use it to my advantage...

"Not really..." I said with a smile
"So umm how are you?"
"I'm good thanks you?" I said
"I'm good, little embarrassed I ran in the class late" he replied quietly chuckling. I giggled as silently as possible trying not to interrupt Mr. Harris. Once we stopped laughing we sat in silence for a few minutes, I felt so awkward I spent minutes searching my brain for something to say but nothing would come to mind. Next thing I knew Liam was leaning over towards me...

God I was blushing once again!

"So what's the art program here like?" He asked.
"I'm new here, so I couldn't tell you." I said smiling and giggling a little. "Well that makes two of us then!" He replied smiling.

I sat though the lesson with Liam next to me sometimes talking to me and sometimes just sitting and listening to Mr.Harris, I had no idea what Mr.Harris had been talking about for the last hour, my mind was to preoccupied on what the hell had just happened to me! I had gone back in time, to before Liam came through the door... But how? Why?

The second class ended for break, Liam got up and spoke to Mr. Harris whilst everyone else left. I ran up to Raven, I was about to spill eveything that had happened, it was all to strange and I knew I could trust her to listen and help me. Just as I reached her outside the classroom, her face lit up and before I could say anything she cut it. "Woah Lauren, get you sitting next to that hot new boy!" As she said that I blushed... "Oh girl no way, you totally like him!" Raven exclaimed!
At that moment Liam exited the classroom, saw me and smiled, I blushed and watched him walk away, Raven looked at me with a 'I knew it' look. God I had only known this girl 10 minutes and she already knew me inside out.

Raven and I walked towards the canteen for lunch, unfortunately Raven had been so focused on what happened between Liam and me that I hadn't had the chance to even talk to her about the strange thing that happened. I spent all of lunch trying to process it all whilst parts of Ravens overexcited conversation came through...

Girl you got a good man there!

I bet he likes you girl, he was so flirting with you and everything!

When you going to ask him out Lauren?!

I couldn't think, it didn't make sense, how could everything have happened again, I wished to try it again and it happened!!!

RING RING RING

Suddenly the end of lunch bell rang which broke me out of my thoughts. I had biology next so I decided to focus on that and worry about everything after college. I asked Raven to point me in the direction of Lab 14 and I set off to class....

After walking through what seemed like endless corridors, I had no idea where I was and where I could find Lab 14. I looked at my phone, 2:15, great I was already 15 minutes late! I started to run through more corridors until eventually I found a sign pointing right for labs, I frantically jogged down the corridor of labs until I came across Lab 14, I pushed open the door and looked at the teacher obviously interrupting what she was saying.

Keep your cool Lauren!

"Hey, sorry I'm late, I'm Lauren Harper, new student, I started today" I said informing the teacher whilst smiling. She looked at me for a few moments before smiling in return "That's alright nice to meet you my name is Miss Scott, find a seat, find a seat!" She said whilst ushering me towards the science tables. My eyes quickly scanned the room and set on the first available seat I saw, I walked over and sat down.

Once I had sat down and got out my things, I started to listen to what Miss Scott was saying.
"Right class today I would like you to work with your lab partner to re create the experiment on the board, good luck!" I looked to my left and saw a boy with short bushy brown hair and brown eyes, looking intently at the board.

Well I guess this is my new lab partner...

"Hey, I'm Lauren!" I said smiling. The boy turned to me "Hello I'm Matt, nice to meet you." He replied.
"You too, so you ready to go?" I said whilst picking up a test tube. "Yep!" He said. Matt and I began working on the experiment and we worked quite well together, we talked quite a lot and seemed to get on really well, turns out we have a fair bit in common.

We finally finished the experiment and it turned out as a success, we talked a little more until the bell rang for the end of the lesson. "Well it's been nice speaking to you, I'll see you next lesson, bye!" Matt said
"Yeah you too, goodbye!" Matt walked away and I began to pack up my things.

Well I think I managed to make a new friend!

After I had packed up my things I left the room and started to head out for the bus to go back home. As I approached the entrance some kid mumbled something and threw a slice of pizza at a girl, she ran down the corridor and into the toilets crying. I thought about going in after her but the headteacher came around the corner and spotted me "Ah Lauren I want to speak to you! How's your first day been?" She asked.
"It's gone very well thank you!"
"So I wanted to speak to you, about the other day in my office?" Oh no, the last thing I needed was more probing why couldn't she leave me alone?!?
"I'd rather not talk about it!" I said
"Lauren I insist you come back to my office!" She implied. I just want to go home, I couldn't take this now, in front of her, some stranger! I just wish she didn't see me!...

Again the second the thought entered my mind, loud wooshing was all I could hear, getting louder and louder, everything became blurry until suddenly it stopped...

I was in the corridor in the exact place I was but the headteacher wasn't there, I heard the kid speak before noticing he threw the pizza again at the girl, I watched the event play out, the girl running down the corridor, running into the toilet, crying her eyes out.

Its happened again I've gone back in time! Oh no the Headteacher!

I quickly ran out the building and towards the bus knowing that if I stayed any longer the Headteacher would of come out the office and found me. I boarded the bus and it pulled out of the college car park to take everyone home. I sat looking out the window trying to think of how and why this was all happening.
