1 MONTH LATER

the normally busling supermarket was now almost creepily empty, as heaven and her friend creeped throughout the tight isles, while trying to be as inconspicuous possible -

due to the fact that, unbeknownst to her friend, heaven had zero intentions of paying for this item that she had driven almost an hour and a half in the middle of the night to collect .

"can you please tell me why we are here?"

her friend kelanhi asked, as they finally approached the small section, which seemed to be almost hidden within the pharmacy.

while she wasn't exactly sure why they were there, as her eyes glazed across the section filled with condoms, pregnancy tests, and other things of the sort - she was starting to put together her own conclusions.

ignoring her friends harsh gaze, heaven regretfully reached for the little pink box, her heart beating rapidly as stared at it in her hands.

"YOU'RE PREGNANT?!"

her friend loudly yelled out, as heaven quickly tried to hush her, remembering the need to be as inconspicuous as possible.

"hush! i would rather not let the whole store know that there's a possibility i'm an going to be an unwed teenaged mother."

she said, grabbing 2 more boxes and turning around, preparing to leave the store.

"if you are - who is it for?"

her friend continued, as they quickly walked past the children's section, apparently not understanding heaven's wish to not speak on the subject.

"you remember when you and
tiffany basically left me at that house party?"

she said still continuing her track towards the exit, not having any wish to pay for the objects that were not so discreetly placed into her sweatpants.

her friend nodded, though most of it being a drunken blurr to her. she did remember hooking up with this boy though

"well to make a long story short - I hooked up with this guy named zion - and I fear - because of numerous reasons, that I might be pregnant. "

she said, her heart dropping as she spoke, it having really been the first time she'd actually said the words.

it was strange to her, how she'd had literally gone from regular teenaged girl to possibly being some complete strangers baby mama.

she wasn't ready to be a mother.
she could barely take care of her own damn self, much less a child.

snapping herself out of her thoughts, she quickly grabbed onto her friends tiny hand, and pulled her out the store - while ignoring the shorter girls complaints about being an accomplice to theft.

•. •. •. •.

the horrid stench that filled the gas-station bathroom made the already horrible experience all the worse - as heaven stood against the wall, impatiently waiting for the results of the pregnancy tests to she had just taken to come back.

this wasn't her ideal place to take them off course - but as she thought it over on the ride home, she realized that the unkempt bathroom of a 7-Eleven was the only place she could go to take this - as going to either one of their houses would have resulted in them both getting in more trouble than they were ready for.

so that's how she got here, dodging shitty tissue paper and trying to ignore the strong smell of piss as she continued to wait for the little timer on her pink iphone to beep, as the dreaded sound would allow her to know that those damn hell tests were finally done.

DING-DING-DING

and it was then - at 2:00 on a sunday morning- as the ringer loudly erupted throughout the bathroom, that she stared at the little white stick and found out the news the little pink lines confirmed for her -

she was pregnant.
