"I am,"
I turn around to find myself staring into this boys intense blue eyes. It takes me a moment to realize this blonde haired blue eyed boy is the rude boy from the music shop.
"Oh," Is all I can get out of my mouth.
"Do you always stare at people or is it just me? I mean I know I'm attractive but staring is just a bit creepy," He smirks at me.
"I'm going to get another slice of pizza," Mikey mumbles obviously trying to get away from Luke. As Mikey got up neither Luke nor himself looked at each other.
Luke stood there with a tiny smirk on his face for a few more seconds before sitting down across from me and next to Calum. Calum rubbed his arm awkwardly and said hello to Luke in a very weak voice. Luke looked almost amused at the fact that he was making everyone so uncomfortable. It's almost as if he enjoyed it. After a few moments of awkwardly sitting around and barely making eye contact I decide to speak.
"Why are you even sitting here?" I feel slightly annoyed about the fact that Luke enjoying making people feel uncomfortable.
"I don't know," Luke stated with a blank expression plastered on his face again. "Why were you so anxious to know who I am?" He questions me back.
"Maybe because everyone was talking about you and I had no idea what everyone was talking about," I roll my eyes because it was obvious of why I wanted to know who he was.
"Wow, the whole school was talking about me? I'm famous!" He said sarcastically. Mikey came back with a scowl on his face.
"Hey Mike!" Luke says but that just makes Mikey's scowl deepen.
"Why is he sitting here?" He said through clenched teeth.
"Didn't you miss me? I certainly missed being left by you and-" Mikey just cut him off.
"Don't talk about that," Mikey was getting more and more pissed. What was Luke talking about?
"What, you don't want people to know the truth?!" Luke screamed causing people to stare. I scrunched down in my seat, not exactly liking all the attention my table was getting.
"You're a fucking psychopath!" Mikey
Shouts back. Luke doesn't say anything and just stands up and storms out of the lunchroom. Well that was weird.
The rest of lunch wasn't the same, there was an awkward vibe to it. Poor Calum tried to brighten up things but Mikey was just too pissed off by Luke to steam down that easily. I don't really understand why though.
Something about Luke made me keep thinking about him. There was obviously a story behind him and I want to know what it is. I consider asking Calum and Mikey but decide against it remembering once again Mikey's hatred towards Luke.

"Can I borrow a pencil? By the way I'm Courtney" I look up to find a girl with a big smile and stick straight hair. She was dressed in all Hollister and American Eagle. Something about just felt like she oozed self confidence and was used to people drooling over her and enjoyed it. I was the complete opposite. Honestly, I like being invisible. I could watch people start drama and watch people get sucked into drama without getting myself sucked into the horrible hole of high school girl problems and drama that is the cause of meltdowns in the hallways. I hear a cough and realize that i had been just staring at her for god knows how long.
"Oh, uh sure, I'm Abby" I hand her a pencil and she acts like it's the best thing in the world. What the fuck is wrong with her?
"Oh my god! thanks so much! You're the best! Nobody here ever-" blah, blah, blah. Is all I hear. I catch a thing or two but honestly I instantly tune her out. That is until I hear the name that has been bothering me since lunch. The name that has been swirling in mind and distracting me.
"What? What about Luke?" I immediately say my head snapping to face her.
"Oh, so you are interested in Luke?" She says, a smirk spreading across her face like she has sucked me into her trap. "Nothing. Just that he is back from crazyville. I would stay away from him. You never know what he might do. That dude acts like He's on a damn period or something," She laughs but all I do is crack a smile. For some reason it bothers me when she talks bad about him like that.
"Oh," is all I say.
"Yea, he lives next door to me and it sucks. It's weird living next to him," She shudders as if she truly is freaked out about. "Too bad he's that weird though because he's like totally hot,"
"He's ok," I mumble. Luke lives next door to her? Maybe if I become friends with this over peppy girl then I could find our more about Luke. I put on my best smile and try to act I interested her talking but let me tell you, it's hard.
"So where are you from?" She asks as if she's generally interested in my life. I want to say that it doesn't make me feel good but it does because I feel like she's most likely the star of the school. People like that don't talk to me and I don't talk to them, but this was different.
"New York," I shrug hoping she won't be like 'oh my god New York City! That's awesome!' because 1) I am not from the city, I'm from upstate and 2) I hate when people do that. I mean New York is not just New York City!
"Really?! That's awesome! New York City is so cool! I've always wanted to live there!" Of course. I sigh before explaining that I wasn't from New York City but the actual New York. She says that she gets what I'm saying but her face looks completely lost. I try to explain more but give up. This girl is a fucking idiot.
The rest of the day was ok. I didn't see Calum and Mikey all that much except for in the halls but the halls were too crowded to even move. Courtney for some reason was basically clinging to me and literally talked the whole time. Even if I wanted to say something I probably couldn't. Honestly she isn't as bad as I thought. A little annoying, but not as annoying as I thought. Thank god for that.
As I'm walking out to my Aunt's hideous bug that she has decided to let let me use, I see Luke just leaning again a black car. After having a mini argument with myself about going to talk to him or not, I walk towards him. He doesn't notice me when I get close to him, or he doesn't feel like acknowledging me. He just keeps staring at the ground with a blank face.
"Uh, hi..." I just stand there awkwardly. Why did I even come over to him anyway? I start to walk away.
"Wait," Luke says startling me. His voice is different, almost like he's pleading me.
"What?"
"Do you trust me?" He just stares at me, waiting patiently for my answer.
I think for a minute, deciding if I really did trust him or not. I feel like I shouldn't trust him but a small part of me did.
"Yes," I try to say it confidently.
"You shouldn't trust me," He frowned as if he wasn't expecting me to say that.
"Do you trust me?" I suddenly want to know his answer.
"I don't trust anyone and they don't trust me," Luke shrugs as if not trusting anyone at all was no big deal.
"You can trust me"
