~Your Perspective~

Ugh...

Your brow furrows as you slowly regain consciousness, a throbbing pain making your entire body ache. You grit your teeth, half wishing you could fall back into the bliss of black unconscious-but some instinct tells you that may not be the best idea. And so, after a few deep breaths to brace against the pain emanating from your shoulder, you slowly reopen your eyes, preparing to wince against the familiar bright white of Alphys' lab.

...

Instead, you're surprised to find yourself surrounded by a world of grey. It has the same clinical appearance as Alphys' lab, but it's significantly... grimier. Everything appears to have a fine layer of dust over it-even the ceiling-and there's a strange noise in the background that you can't quite put your finger on. A buzzing? Hmm.... No. More like the sound of wind whistling. Whatever the case, the haze of pain over you is interfering with what would be your normal sense of unease. You continue to stare up at the ceiling, trying to recollect the last thing that happened while you get used to the throbbing.

The last thing I remember...

Flashes of white, followed by a sharp pain in your shoulder.

Oh yeah. Sans accidentally attacked me in his sleep, you remember. He cut my shoulder, and then we teleported to Alphys. But I don't remember... huh. Did I pass out at some point?

Before you can think on it too much, there's a distinct whooshing sound to your left. You turn to look at the sound, just in time to see a pair of metallic doors slide open.

"I-I promise you, Sans, I did the best job that I c-could-"

"I know, I know. I'm just saying that I don't think sewing her up like some kind of rag doll was the best way to go about it. Don't 'cha have any healing magic laying around or something?"
"Sans, I've t-told you-I don't have any m-magic. If you wanted a f-fast fix, you should've found s-someone else."

"I would've, but the time in the time it would've taken, she may have..."

"Sans."

Your precious skeleton's eyesockets suddenly dim, and he sighs as he scuffs his feet, staring at the ground.

"I'm sorry. This was all my fault to begin with. If anyone's to blame, it's me," he mutters, his jaw taunt.

You grit your teeth and sit up, doing your best to swallow your pain. Then you open your mouth with the intention of assuring him that as an accident, it wasn't his fault-but the moment you begin to form the words, the two monsters notice you. Alphys smiles shyly and gives you a wave, but before she can say anything, Sans rushes to your side.

"(Y/N)! You're awake!" he exclaims, forcefully hugging you. "Oh thank god. Alphys did this weird thing with a needle and thread, and it looked really messy and like it hurt but you're all fixed up now and-"

"Sans-"

"Ah, I'm so sorry, Buttercup! I didn't know what came over me-I never meant to hurt you-"

"Sans!" you yelp, wincing. Sans flinches, and draws back enough to look at you with fear shining in his eyesockets. You take a shaky breath, try to calm your quivering voice, and give him a tight smile. "Arms. Injured. Ow."

"...What?"

You sigh, chuckling weakly at his short-sightedness. You grit your teeth as you wiggle your arms slightly, trying to draw his attention to the fact that you're currently experiencing stabbing pain. He blinks, and then his gaze shifts to your shoulder...
