A New Beginning (Elijah x Elena Love Story)

Just so you guys know, I'm starting right where I left off with Elijah. Don't worry though, the chapter containing the birth of Elijah and Elena's child is coming up! :)

Elijah's POV

  All I could think of now was how I was going to get Elena to remember me and how to get her back to me. But as of right now, my main focus was to keep Elena and my child safe, and I would do anything to make that happen.

My thoughts were interrupted by Klaus as he walked around Kol, then to the opposite wall, observing the room, " You are right Kol, this is quite indeed a fine house."

Kol just smirked; he always has liked it when people told him he was right.

Then Klaus stopped in front of me and smirked, "It is fit for a king". I was not pleased by hearing this. This reminded me of when we first settled in the New World in the city now called New Orleans. I certainly did not want a repeat of those times.

He continued, "We will leave California in 2 days. I have some-some business to attend to," and started to walk away into the hallway.

"What makes you so sure I will be willing to go with you Niklaus?" I asked, causing him to turn around.

He smiled and held his arms out open wide, "That's why I have your lovely Elena, brother."

I vampire-sped over to Klaus and glared at him, face to face, "You will not harm Elena or my child."

He dropped his smirk and his arms, "What is to stop me?"

I thought for a moment, knowing what I was about to say would be one of the worst deals in my life,"That is my requirement. In return, I will go with you wherever you desire." 

Everyone knew I did not break my word. Klaus silently looked at me for a moment and then replied, "Alright, no harm will come to Elena or your child".

I knew better than to just take this answer, "Give me your word," I demanded.

"You have my word," Klaus replied hastily.

I then vampire-sped away from Klaus and Kol and headed towards Elena and I's bedroom. I instantly went over to our dresser and picked up a picture frame. It contained a picture of us on our wedding day. I took the picture with me and slowly sat down on the side of our bed staring at the picture. I missed Elena's soft touch beside me knowing that she had rested in this bed only a few days ago. No, I missed everything about her. She was-is my whole world.

It made it even worse to remember that she didn't remember me due to Klaus' compulsion. At least I knew by negotiating with Klaus, Elena and our child would be safe. Our child.

I still couldn't realize that I was going to be a father after 1,000 year of living. I was heartbroken as I realized that I would not be there for my child. It would have to grow up without a father. 

I gripped the picture tight as I lied down on the bed, letting a tear fall for the first time in 1,000 years.

I woke up to the bright sunlight once again. I realized I still had the picture tight in my hands. I quickly sat up and put it back on my dresser. I then did my morning routine and put on another one of my expensive suits.

After I was finished, I headed downstairs to find Kol standing at the bottom of the stairs looking at me. I headed down the stairs and stopped right in front of Kol.

"Good morning, brother. It looks like you slept well," he said sarcastically.

I was in no mood for jokes, "Where is NIklaus?" I asked.

Kol smirked, "He left to find a certain blonde somebody." I  nodded as I assumed he meant Caroline Forbes in Mystic Falls.

"Klaus told me to babysit you big brother," Kol half laughed, "He is still a fool to trust me. I don't like following rules."

My eyes grew wide as I  noticed he had a dagger in his hand. He was going to dagger me. "Kol-" I said trying to stop him. Kol cut me off, "We're going to take a little trip to our dear brother and sister."

Before I knew it, Kol had plunged the dagger into my chest, and I could feel myself growing cold and turning gray. I was once again going into a deep sleep until someone removed the dagger. I was not sure how long I was going to be daggered this time. Is the daggering ever going to stop?
