"So." Jay began, sitting on her bed, letting her feet swing, "what do you guys think of them?"
"Nice." Cass smiled.
"Sweet but Idiots." Jay shrugged, giving her own input.
"Annoying but cute." Kris grinned.
"It's gonna be awesome here." Cass sighed, flopping down next to Jay.
"Well someone is optimistic!" Kris smiled over her shoulder from where she was putting clothes into her steel chest of drawers. The other two had already finished unpacking and had gathered in her room to talk. "I, for one, am not too extremely thrilled with the idea of living with eight boys."
"Oh, they're harmless. Besides, we can take them. Have you seen them? They're all stick thin! What could they possibly do? I feel like a fat cow here. Ugh." Jay groaned running a hand through her hair before letting herself fall backwards onto the bed.
"Would you stop with that?" Cass and Kris both chided at the same time.
"Anyway, they're not exactly unmuscular though. Sub Commander Kim looked like he could probably flip a table." Kris commented nonchalantly.
"Ha, yeah it's a good thing you specified which Kim because to be honest I'm not even sure why the other one joined the army." Jay joked. "Also I'm sure you would love to see the Sub-Commander flip a table." she got a mischievous glint in her eyes and sat up suddenly,
"I'm going to stop you right there." Kris held up her hand and ignored the other's jab.
"You two...." Cass shook her head.
"But seriously though if you want to complain about anything, I fully condone complaining about how Luhan is prettier than 90% of girls. In fact, I'll join you on that one!" Kris stated, changing the subject quickly, shutting the last drawer with a slam.
"Oh my gosh I know." Jay and Cass chimed in unison.
"Well, I'm going to head out. I need to make one more run back to the base to collect Carmel and her stuff." Jay hoisted herself up and begrudgingly slipped her stockinged feet into her shoes as she hopped towards the door. "I'll be back in about half an hour."
"You're abandoning us alone with these weirdos?" Cass and Kris jumped up with looks of mild panic in their eyes.
"You'll be fine! Besides I'm not missing lunch for the world so, I will definitely be back." Jay reassured them calmly.
Cass and Kris were not exactly calmed by this. They had no desire to be here by themselves surrounded by strange men.
"Are you kidding me Jay? I'm gonna die! I can barely speak the language!" Cass protested with a scared voice.
"Cass, what on earth do you two think will be happening here? The absolute worst that happens is they'll try to talk to you..." Jay stopped and pondered that possibility for a moment before slowly nodding. "You know what? I'll make it 20 minutes."
After Jay left, her departure very obvious since they were sure that her car, streaking out of there at 60mph, could be heard by everyone within a radius of 200 miles, Cass and Kris decided to brave it and venture out of Kris' room after cowering there for a solid 10 minutes. They were halfway down the hallway to the elevator when they heard a conversation from the room of Baekhyun and Sehun. Kris motioned for Cass to stop and be quiet as she strained to hear and understand.
"So my friend sent me a package the other day." Baekhyun 's voice came from the other side of the door.
"Oh no..." that was Sehun talking.
"Aaaaand it got some pretty sweet stuff in it." the other continued in a voice with a tone that just screamed trouble.
"Where are you going with this?" Sehun cut in, suspicious.
"Oh good lord this could go either one of two ways:" Kris whispered, low enough so only Cass could hear. "either something really crazy or really dirty and as of right now I'm actually praying it's the first one— "Cass nodded a bit fearfully.
"Like" *the two girls held their breath* "glitter stuff. Exploding stuff. Glitter bombs." *a silent sigh of relief*
"Alright, I'm listening."
"I was thinking tonight...hang on." Baekhyun stopped talking suddenly and the two heard footsteps coming towards the door and they bolted. They only had a few seconds before he opened the door, and that was not enough to make it down the hall to the elevator and give it time to get up to the floor. So, the two decided to take their chances and ran as fast as possible back to Jay's room (which was the closest to their position in the hall) and had just closed the door when Baekhyun poked his head out the door to peer down the hallway, making sure no one was listening. Meanwhile in Jay's room, the two breathed a sigh of relief before sliding down the door.
"Well, whatever they're planning, it doesn't bode well." Cass said after they had caught their breath.
"Well that depends on how you define well. Because if they plan on setting of a glitter bomb, I am both extremely on board and violently opposed and I don't know which one I'll be when the time comes." Kris admitted.
"Jay will be for it."
"Jay is always for that type of shit. It's only been like two hours and the person she's interacted the most with is the human definition of glitter." Kris rolled her eyes, referring to Jongdae.
"You think she might like him?" Cass gasped excitedly.
"Jay? The man hater? HA!" Kris scoffed. "Plus, like I said, it's only been like 2 hours. That's not enough time to figure out what someone's favorite color is let alone develop any sort of feeling besides annoyance towards them. That you can develop immediately."
About 20 minutes after she left, just like she said, the screeching of Jay's car could be heard outside.
"I swear that girl drives like a maniac." Cass shook her head, peering out the window.
"What do you expect? She's from Philly, we're all nuts over there." Kris snorted. Even though she was openly proud of the fact that she was from Philly, she took every opportunity possible to diss it.
"Oh right, I forgot." Cass chose the safest answer.
"We...should probably go upstairs." Kris admitted after Jay still hadn't shown up after five minutes.
